In order to build the best character possible in Wuthering Waves, players will need to upgrade and advance a number of things. Grinding for materials can be a bit of a hassle when it comes to certain upgrades as the further players begin to take their characters and weapons, the more materials they will need for ascension purposes. A lot of these materials can be picked up as players explore the world, but some of them only drop from enemies. A good example are Howler Cores, an important upgrade material that comes in four distinct rarities. Thankfully, there are many enemies that can drop these items, and a few other ways to snag them. Where Do Howler Cores Drop In Wuthering Waves?
Howler cores can drop from a variety of Howler enemies in different rarities. Here's a table showing all of the potential enemies that can drop Howler cores. Players can easily track these enemies by going into the Echo Gallery and using the "Track" function. Here's a list of enemies that drop Howler Cores:

How To Synthesize Howler Cores In Wuthering Waves
Players who need a specific Howler Core type and find themselves struggling to secure the correct rarity can "trade up" via the Synthesizer in Jinzhou. It will take three of a lower-level core to create the next rarity up. Here's how the exchange rate looks.

Wuthering Waves: How to Increase Stamina & Echo Cost Limit
To make adventure and exploration in Wuthering Waves as efficient as possible, players will need to increase both their stamina and Echo cost limit.
Where To Purchase Howler Cores
Some Howler Cores can also be purchased at multiple shops in Wuthering Waves. Lower-tier rarities can be snagged at the Weapons Shop run by Uncle Wei in Jinzhou. Keep in mind that there are a limited number of these that can be purchase from the shop at one time.
- LF Howler Cores can be snagged for 1500 Shell Credits each.
- MF Howler Cores cost 3500 Shell Credits each.
Players can also sometimes grab Howler Cores from the Store Page in the Item Exchange area. The items available here will rotate and use a special currency called Oscillated Coral to purchase. It is not recommended to waste Oscillated Coral on these as they're relatively easy to farm and the currency can be hard to come by.
