Kuro Game’s recent video game release, Wuthering Waves, has become a massive hit among gacha fans. The game is a special treat for players who enjoy games like Genshin Impact, Tower of Fantasy and Punishing: Gray Raven. Like other games in the genre, Wuthering Waves comes with a wide variety of characters for players to choose from. Players venture into the mystifying world of Wuthering Waves to explore the unknown, battle enemies, and uncover new secrets.

In Wuthering Waves, each character is associated with an element attribute that is applied to all of their attacks and abilities. These six elements are Aero, Electro, Glacio, Fusion, Spectro, and Havoc. Among all the elements, Fusion utilizes the power of fire to heal and ignite enemies. While there are not many Fusion type characters available at the time of writing, this list ranks all the fusion characters available in the game to help players choose which one they want on their team.

3 Chixia

A Good Option For A Free Unit

Chixia Build with her sequence node explanation
  • Rarity: 4 Star
  • Weapon: Pistols

This bubbly young girl wielding the fiery power of the fusion element is always ready to help in-game characters and the players alike. Using the Pistol as her weapon, Chixia plays a ranged-style game, chipping away at the enemy's HP bars from a distance. Her ranged gameplay makes her a good pick for players who want to avoid risky, close-ranged combat, where players are more susceptible to enemy attacks. Chixia also has two dashes on her skill, which makes it easier for her to dodge enemy attacks and reposition during battles. With players have, her powers grow stronger.

Although she is a free unit, there's a bit of a cost to using her on the team. Players have to keep Chixia on the field for a long time in order for her to be effective. This issue can be somewhat fixed with her sequences. However, because she's on the field so long, reliance on her ultimate skill increases — and her ultimate is quite expensive. This makes it harder for her ultimate to be available on every rotation, making it hard for players to manage the damage rate.

Overall, Chixia can carry the players through the early game with her easy to learn and fun gameplay. However, players will need to look for newer options once the beginner’s phase of the game is over.

2 Mortefi

Excellent Sub DPS To Support The Team

Mortefi build
  • Rarity: 4 Star
  • Weapon: Pistols

The 4-Star Fusion type character Mortefi is an excellent pick for multiple reasons. He's a powerful damage dealer, provides off-field damage support, and can provide attack buffs. Mortefi acts as a jack of all trades. His hybrid gameplay nature makes him a perfect character to pair with units that rely on heavy attacks. His outro skill buffs a teammate's heavy attack damage, allowing them to wreak havoc.

V Rising: Best Pistols, Ranked

Pistols are useful weapons in V Rising, but are not unlocked until around the mid-game stage. Here's all the options players have at their disposal.

Mortefi’s utility as a sub DPS doesn’t stop here. His ultimate skill is a rare coordinated attack that applies a buff to team members. When this buff is active, whenever that team member hits an enemy, Mortefi lands a coordinated attack. This attack doubles when the other character uses a heavy attack, further increasing the total damage output. Mortefi also has a quick Concerto rotation, which allows him to complete his lightning combo quickly, swap with other characters, and buff them to increase their damage output.

With all that being said, Mortefi has a few drawbacks that players need to be wary of. His ultimate skill has a long cooldown, and players need to keep this in mind as they plan out the rotation. Mortefi also requires proper energy regeneration to use him effectively. But if players can successfully manage the shortcomings, Mortefi can be an incredible resource. He's great when the team needs to take on aggressive enemies in fast-paced combat.

1 Encore

Heavy Hitting Gameplay

Encore Build
  • Rarity: 4 Star
  • Weapon: Pistols

Encore is a 5-Star Fusion character who does her job as a damage dealer extremely well. Using the Rectifier, which serves as a type of weapon for Ranged users like mages, Encore can be extremely powerful on the battlefield. Her skillset and her ultimate allow her to play at both ranged and melee distances, as her ultimate move enhances her attack prowess. She's one of the most versatile characters, capable of taking on a number of roles.

Thanks to her flexibility, players can put Encore into various teams where she can either play as a powerhouse, hyper-carry, or a strong quick-swap style character. Her ultimate is not the only skill that makes her powerful. Her inherent skills also increase her fusion damage, allowing her to burn enemies to ashes. On top of that, she can also recover energy for herself and the team, making her a decent support as well as a damage dealer.

One shortcoming with Encore is that, in her normal form, she cannot parry enemy attacks. This can leave her vulnerable when fighting certain bosses. However, this is a small issue compared to her strong points. With everything she brings to the table. Encore is a top-notch character who will carry players to the end game.
