In Wuthering Waves, there are quite a few oddities in the world that can benefit players in the long run. Aside from the adorable dancing tortoise that revitalizes your HP, there are certain types of Echos that carry unique abilities and looks. Echoes in Wuthering Waves are a character stat set that can give them increased abilities. Resonators have a specific trait where they can equip Tacet Discords and enjoy using them in battle.

A unique class of these Echos are called Phantom Echoes or Shiny Echoes. As the name suggests, they shine compared to others and are significantly a little more difficult to beat than the usual ones. As of Version 1.1, there are only six Phantom Echoes available. Two can be found in the overworld and four can be either bought from the points shop or obtained through the Tower of Adversity. Successfully defeating a Phantom Echo will reward players with the Trophy: Do You Believe In Light?

Wuthering Waves: Best Way To Farm Echoes (& Echo EXP)

There are a couple of ways to get Echoes and Echo XP in Wuthering Waves, and not all of them involve using Waveplates.

Where To Find Phantom/Shiny Echoes

Currently, there are only two types of Shiny Echoes you can farm in the overworld. The Rocksteady Guardian and the Hoartoise. The Rocksteady Guardian deals in Spectro DMG, whilst the Hoartoise deals in Glacio DMG.

Phantom: Rocksteady Guardian

Currently, the Rocksteady Guardian can be found near the Withering Frontline and the island right next to the Tower of Adversity. When locating the one near the Withering Frontline, you can find it south of the Thundering Mephis Boss. You can teleport to the Resonance Beacon in Desorock Highland and fly east to find it.

To reach the one near the Tower of Adversity, simply teleport to the Resonance Nexus there and head north to find it near the shoreline of the island.

Phantom: Hoartoise

There are two locations in which you can find the Hoartoise. The first is near the Bell-Borne Geochelone boss in Tolling Stream, and the second one is in Thorny Passage. The Hoartoise in Tolling Stream is relatively easy to find, as all players need to do is teleport to the Resonance Beacon opposite it and glide down to find it by the bank.

The second Hoartoise Phantom can be reached after teleporting to the Resonance Beacon south of the location (this would be north of the Feilian Beringal Echo Boss) and jumping down towards the river. The riverbank will be filled with tortoises, and they could easily miss your eye. The Phantom Hoartoise, however, will be relaxing on a rock above them.

How To Get The Do You Believe In Light? Trophy

The Phantom Echoes will be dormant until you attack them. Since they are a little tougher to defeat than the usual Echoes, make sure to bring a decent team. After successfully defeating it for the first time, you will then receive the Trophy.
