Depths of Illusive Realm Event, Explained

The Depths of Illusive Realm is a roguelike event in the Tiger’s Maw region of Wuthering Waves. This limited-time event ends on June 26, and players must clear five stages of Memory Rooms, which are enemy-filled areas leading to major boss fights.
To access the Depths of Illusive Realm, players need to increase their Union Level to 17. Once this is done, the event icon will appear in the Tiger’s Maw region near the Waving Battlefield. In terms of gameplay, Depths of Illusive Realm is similar to the Simulated Universe in Honkai: Star Rail.
The Basics of the Depths of Illusive Realm
At the start of the event, players select a Resonator and an Echo from the available pool. They then battle through stages called Memory Rooms, defeating enemies and collecting buffs (Metaphors and Character Upgrades). The main goal is to reach the final floor and defeat the main boss using only the materials found during the event, not the player's inventory or teams.

Character Upgrades
Character Upgrades are unique skills not found in the overworld. In the Illusive Realm, these skills boost the Resonator’s stats, providing new moves and DPS resources. Players can choose their Upgrades based on their needs, but it’s generally recommended to prioritize Basic Attack buffs.
Thought Evolutions
Thought Evolutions are primary stat enhancements for all Resonators in the Depths of Illusive Realm. Players can unlock perks on this skill tree using Memory Points obtained during the event.

How to Beat Every Stage of Depths of Illusive Realm
The following strategy and combat tips can help players beat all difficulty levels:
- Pick the Trial Resonator. The Depths of Illusive Realm allows players to choose a 5-Star Resonator like Jiyan at the start of the first four challenges. Unless the player’s main DPS is higher level than these trial options, it’s recommended to use them.
- Prioritize Combat Memories. Combat rooms like the Memory of a Fierce Struggle guarantee lucrative rewards, while others, like the Memory of Unknown, are RNG-based and usually grant less valuable items.
- Focus on Elemental Points. Before picking any Metaphor card, ensure its Elemental points match the Resonator’s Echo. At higher difficulty levels, it’s almost impossible to beat the final boss with a low-level Echo.
- Look for Hidden Metaphors. Scan each room after clearing it. Hidden Strange White Cats are often found behind breakable walls. These cats can give extra Metaphors, accelerating progression before the Endgame Memory.
- Exploit Yuanwu’s Intro Skill. The best companion in the Depths of Illusive Realm is Yuanwu. His shield-breaking intro deals immense damage to main enemies, quickly depleting their Vibration Strength.
For the final difficulty level, players must choose a Resonator from their own team . It’s recommended to rank up a main DPS to at least level 60 before attempting this stage.

In the Depths of Illusive Realm, players earn three types of currencies: Dream Fragments, Illusive Specimen, and Memory Points.
