Amongst the thrilling exploration and amazing graphics, Wuthering Waves takes players on an unforgettable adventure with its side quests. It is through these side quests that Rovers get the chance to learn more about the world of Solaris - 3 and the various oddities hidden within it. Some side quests are particularly lengthy and can drag across regions.
This can be seen in the Tales of the Past and Present side quest series of Wuthering Waves. The quest has 8 locations pertaining to each region and players will need to find four Torn Pages to complete each one. The quest will not automatically show up on the navigation panel. It will only show up after you find the Torn Pages for each region, and then head to the Storyteller in Jinzhou City as indicated by the quest marker. This guide will include all the locations for each region.
Wuthering Waves: All Quiz Answers (Journal of Jinzhou & Quest of Wits)
The Journal of Jinzhou and the Quest of Wits both require Wuthering Waves players to answer a quiz question.
Tales of the Past and Present: Central Plains
| Page 1 (Outside Jinzhou City) | The first page can be found right outside Jinzhou City. It will be on a workbench of an unmarked outpost near the shoreline. |
| Page 2 (Tiderise Cliff) | Teleport to the Huanglong-Central Plains-Tiderise Cliff Resonance Beacon and head towards the small village you see in front of you. You will find the second page on a shelf located outside one of the houses. |
| Page 3 (Taoyuan Vale) | Head inside the Taoyuan Vale Village and you’ll find the third page on a box near one of the first houses you see near the entrance. |
| Page 4 (Yeming Slide) | Head to the Yeming Village Resonance Beacon and go straight towards a group of boxes. The fourth page will be sitting atop one of them. |
After collecting the final quest, the quest will finally unlock and point you towards the Storyteller in Jinzhou City. Just head there to complete it and get your rewards.
Tales of the Past and Present: Desorock Highlands
| Page 1 (Rearguard Base Resonance Nexus) | Head to the Resonance Nexus in the Rearguard Base. The page will be on top of a metal crate right in front of you. |

| Page 2 (Rearguard Base) | Located inside the second base, head to the Resonance Beacon right beside it, and you’ll be able to find it on top of some containers. |
| Page 3 (Withering Frontline) | Teleport to the Huanlong-Desorock Highland Resonance Beacon in the Withering Frontline. You’ll find some covered crates right beside it, and the page will be on top of it. |
| Page 4 (Vanguard Base) | The Vanguard Base is right beneath Camp Overwatch. You can teleport to any Resonance Beacon and glide down to it. The page will be on the worktable right beside Fusheng. |
Head to the storyteller again to assemble the pages and receive the next round of rewards.
Tales of the Past and Present: Dim Forest
| Data Chip 1 (Settle Range Camp) | Teleport to the Huanglong-Port City of Giuxu Resonance Beacon and head towards the Exiles camp that you see. The data chip will be on top of a chair in the middle of the camp. |

| Data Chip 2 (Thorny Passage) | The next data chip will be in another Exile Camp in Thorny Passage. You can teleport to the Huanglong-Dim Forest-Thorny Passage Resonance Beacon and head there to find it atop some crates. |
| Data Chip 3 (Giant Banyan) | Head to the Huanglong-Dim Forest Resonance Beacon and go inside the Researcher Camp to find the data chip on top of a container. |
| Data Chip 4 (Forbidden Forest) | Teleport to the Forgery Challenge: Misty Forest and climb up the mountain until you see a white tent. Head inside the tent and you’ll find the data chip on some metal boxes off to the side. |
Dim Forest is different and uses Data Chips to record the stories required by the Storyteller. After obtaining them all you can head to the Storyteller in Jinzhou City once more and collect your rewards.

Find all 5 Lighthouse locations and solve each riddle to obtain additional rewards in Wuthering Waves’ Lost History Quest.
Tales of the Past and Present: Gorges of Spirits
| Page 1 (Memento Square) | This is the first area players are introduced to in the game. You need to head back to where Jue’s statue is and climb right up. You’ll spot the page on the ledge right behind the statue. |

| Page 2 (Clouded Cliffs) | Head to the Resonance Nexus in the area and head inside the first building you see on the left after going up the stairs. The page will be on top of a crate. |
| Page 3 (Clouded Cliffs Watchtower) | In the same area as the previous location, head to the watchtower right opposite you. Climb up the watchtower and the page will be on the floor beside you. |
| Page 4 (Unmarked Clouded Cliffs Watchtower) | Head east of the previous location and a little way down the road, you’ll see another watchtower. The last page will be on the floor after you climb it. |
All the Gorges of Spirits Torn Pages locations are fairly close to each and easy to obtain. Just head to the Storyteller once more to assemble the book and receive your reward.
Tales of the Past and Present: Norfall Barrens
| Data Chip 1 (Southwest of Suspended Ruins) | Teleport to the Huanglong-Norfall Barrens-Suspended Ruins Resonance Beacon and head inside the dilapidated building you see. The data chip will be on the floor right next to a chair near the entrance. |

| Data Chip 2 (East of Suspended Ruins) | Use the Resonance Beacon southeast of the map (this is the one southwest of the Dreamless Boss) and head to the end of the road - past the collapsed bridge. The data chip will be on top of some abandoned cars up ahead. |
| Data Chip 3 (North of Suspended Ruins) | Head to the Resonance Beacon at the top of the Suspended Ruins and follow the path until you reach a collapsed arch. Go behind it to find a building and the data chip will be on a metal box. |
In comparison to the previous regions, Norfall Barrens only has three Data Chips that players need to find. Once you have retrieved them all, just head to the Storyteller again to put them together.
Tales of the Past and Present: Port City of Guixu
| Page 1 (Abandoned Research Facility) | There’s an abandoned building right in front of the Huanglong-Port City of Giuxu-Settle Range Resonance Beacon. Go inside and stick to your left. The page will be on the edge of a plot of dirt. |

| Page 3 (Nostalgia Isle) | Head to the Resonance Beacon on Nostalgia Isle and you’ll spot some ruins right in front of you. The page will be on a table. |
Head to the Storyteller now and receive your rewards.
Tales of the Past and Present: Tiger’s Maw Mine
| Data Chip 1 (Side of the Mine) | The first data chip can be a little tricky to find because it’s situated on a flat surface in the chasm. You will have to teleport to the Huanglong-Tiger’s Maw Resonance Beacon and scale the wall to your right. Keep going up until you reach an area where there is some flat surface. The data chip will be on the floor near some bushes. |

| Data Chip 2 (West of Tiger’s Maw Mine) | The next data chip will be located just outside the chasm and near a log. Since the log is overlooking the mine, you’ll have to teleport to the Resonance Beacon on the top floor, and then glide down towards the location. |
| Data Chip 3 (Southeast of Tiger’s Maw Mine) | The only way to reach the final data chip is by teleporting to the Huanglong-Wuming Bay Resonance Beacon. Go up the cliff to your left and keep going straight until you see a broken pillar at the end of the cliff. Drop down and the data chip will be on top of it. |
Take the Data Chips to the Storyteller again to be fixed and claim your rewards before starting on the final set of data chips.
Wuthering Waves: How To Remove The Sandstorm In Fallen Grave
By completing the Stygian Lacrimosa quest, players will unlock the Fallen Grave sub-area and the Mourning Aix Echo Boss in Wuthering Waves.
Tales of the Past and Present: Whining Aix’s Mire
| Data Chip 1 (Fallen Grave) | Teleport to the Huanglong-Whining Aix’s Mire-Fallen Grave Resonance Beacon and head up the path until you reach a Fractsidus Camp. The data chip will be on top of a wooden crate right next to the metal capsule tent. |

| Data Chip 2 (Plateau Ruins) | Head to the southernmost Resonance Beacon in Plateau Ruins and go straight until you find another Fractsidus Camp. The second data chip will also be on top of a wooden crate near the metal capsule tent. |
| Data Chip 3 | Travel to the Resonance Beacon near Whining Aix’s Mire Tacet Field and head over to the abandoned base right in front of it. The data chip will be on top of a small wooden chest that can be found beside a massive container. |
You have now delivered all the necessary Torn Pages and Abandoned Data Chips to the Storyteller. You can receive your final reward and complete this side quest series once and for all.
