Among all the new additions to the game included in Phase 3 for WoW Season of Discovery is an unassuming new questline with incredible rewards. "The Wild Gods" SoD quest begins in Felwood and takes players throughout Azeroth and its most famous level 40 to 50 dungeons in search of a way to ease the Loa of Hyjal.

SoD Phase Two's epic crafting quest chain involves a new item, Grime Encrusted Salvage, and is open to every production profession in classic WoW.

In addition to a new class Rune, "The Wild Gods" also unlocks a new vendor who will trade a selection of pre-BiS gear for Wild Offering , an item that can only be acquired after completing the initial stages of this quest. Follow this guide to learn how to start "The Wild Gods", what you need to do to complete it, and what the potential rewards are for those who are willing to farm Wild Offerings.

"The Wild Gods" Step-By-Step Quest Guide

WoW SoD The Wild Gods Quest Start Location

How To Start "The Wild Gods" – Quest Start Location

To start "The Wild Gods" head to the Emerald Sanctuary, in the southernmost area of Felwood. To get here, either fly to Splintertree Post (Horde) or Astranaar (Alliance) and head towards Raynewood Retreat in the middle of the zone. Follow the path north from there to reach Felwood – the Emerald Sanctuary is practically a one-minute ride in, just off the main path.

Look for the Shadowtooth Emissary on the southeast side of the Emerald Sanctuary. The troll will tell the player that there is something wrong with the Loa of Hyjal, and asks that they attempt to contact an ancient dead Loa named Agamaggan with the use of Amani troll magics to see what's going on.

Either Head To The Hinterlands Or Find A Pre-Attuned Player

Once you pick up "The Wild Gods" you have two options. The first is to head to the Hinterlands and acquire the Whispering Draught as the Shadowtooth Emissary asks, then head to Razorfen Downs to speak with Agamaggan. To get Whispering Draught, head to the troll compound Jintha'alor in the southeastern Hinterlands, and kill any Vilebranch Troll. Any of the Trolls in this area have a chance to drop the item.

WoW Season of Discovery: How To Get Turtle Scale Bracers

Turtle Scale Bracers are an item in WoW Classic available in the Blacksmithing profession, but in SoD, it's more than just a bad piece of lvl 37 gear.

The second option is to just head straight to Razorfen Downs with a party member who has already acquired the Whispering Draught. Getting Whispering Draught is not technically required to complete this part of "The Wild Gods" quest chain. Only one player needs to use a Whispering Essence to spawn Agamaggan – so at least one person in your RFD group will need to have gone through these steps so that others can skip it.

Kill Amnennar the Coldbringer & Get Agamaggan's Roar

WoW SoD The Wild Gods Quest Agamaggan Razorfen Downs Amnennar Coldbringer Roar

At max level, you can simply walk by most of the enemies in Razorfen Downs without pulling aggro and head straight to the final boss Amnennar. Whether you skip to the end or not, once Amnennar is defeated, make sure that all other enemies in the nearby vicinity are defeated (including mobs on the ramp leading up to Amnennar).

The party member with the Whispering Draught should activate it only once the boss and nearby mobs are dead. Then, Agamaggan will appear and complete the first part of "The Wild Gods" questline. He then continues the questline and gives you Agamaggan's Roar, an item that must be used to gather three Wild Offerings.

Head To Mara, ZF, or BRD To Get 3x Wild Offerings

Wild Offerings only drop from Delirious Ancients, which can be summoned with Agamaggan's Roar after beating Princess Theradras in Maraudon, Gahz'Rilla in Zul'Farrak, or the Ring of Law in Blackrock Depths. There are many ways to skip to these bosses for efficient Wild Offering farming, and each dungeon does offer some pre-BiS items for every class.

WoW Season of Discovery: How To Get Lesser Arcane Elixir (& What It Does)

The Lesser Arcane Elixir SoD recipe is extremely useful for mana users, but to get this new WoW SoD item, you'll have to undertake a lengthy grind.

But if you want to get this quest done quickly, head to Maraudon, and make sure that you (or a party member) have the Scepter of Celebras to skip to a location close to Theradras. After entering the portal room and skipping to the waterfall area, players can skip the Hydras at the beginning, engage roaming packs on the way up, and take on the stone giants one by one as they descend toward Theradras. Defeat her, use the item, then defeat the Delirious Ancient that spawns to get a Wild Offering.

Then, jump down and log out in the water to be teleported to the instance entrance. Head back to the portal room, reset the instance, and go again – an efficient group can hit the 5-per-hour Instance limit with this method.

All "The Wild Gods" Quest Rewards: Runes & More

WoW SoD The Wild Gods Quest Rewards Hyjals Wisdom

After gathering three Wild Offerings from Theradras, Ghaz'Rilla, or the Ring of Law, head back to the Emerald Sanctuary in Feralas to turn in the quest and get Hyjal's Wisdom, an item that gives each class a new Rune. However, that's not exactly where this quest ends. In fact, if you have more Wild Offerings, the Shadowtooth Emissary becomes a vendor that sells a variety of unique items and gear.

Most of the gear will set you back more than 12 Wild Offerings, and many classes need more than one for Sunken Temple pre-BiS, so it can be quite the grind to get these uniques. Instead of heading straight back to the Shadowtooth Emissary, consider staying with your group and farming some more for a few hours to get some great pre-BiS gear.
