Highlights

  • Players in World of Warcraft's Mists of Pandaria Remix are facing a bug preventing them from unlocking the Tusks of Mannoroth.
  • Bronze rush in Pandaria has reignited old farming methods, with players collecting Bronze to upgrade gear and unlock cosmetics.
  • Blizzard plans to address the bug with unlocking the Tusks of Mannoroth, likely before the end of Mists of Pandaria Remix on August 19, 2024.

While plate classes in World of Warcraft can unlock the new cosmetic version of the Tusks of Mannoroth, other players seem to encounter a bug that prevents them from doing so. Mists of Pandaria Remix is in full swing, as World of Warcraft players are collecting Bronze with dedication and frenzy in equal measure. Whether for upgrading their gear or unlocking cosmetics, the Bronze rush in Pandaria has reignited decade-old farming methods – often to such a degree that Blizzard had to step in and address some of them.

Though some players are hoping that Blizzard will make item upgrades cheaper in Mists of Pandaria Remix, for the most part, the community has had a positive impression of Remix as a concept, and are hopeful that other World of Warcraft expansions such as Warlords of Draenor will get their own version some time in the future. However, there is currently a bug concerning one of the most iconic pieces of loot in World of Warcraft history, as only plate classes are able to unlock the Tusks of Mannoroth for their Battle.net account.

World of Warcraft Players Can Get Discontinued Mists of Pandaria Collectibles, But There's a Catch

A peculiar glitch makes the process of obtaining some World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria collectibles more complicated than it should be.

While this has traditionally been the case, Mists of Pandaria Remix deliberately introduced a cosmetic version of the Tusks of Mannoroth that should be available to any World of Warcraft class. This problem has been widespread enough that the team at Blizzard directly addressed a support ticket by stating that a future update would address the issue. Though no exact date has been given as yet, it will likely be fixed before August 19, 2024. This is the end date for Mists of Pandaria Remix, on which any Remix characters on a Battle.net will have their entire inventory wiped, and will be converted into regular characters.

How to Get the Tusks of Mannoroth in Mists of Pandaria Remix

In order to obtain the cosmetic version of the Tusks of Mannoroth, players will need to farm a substantial amount of Bronze in Mists of Pandaria Remix. Namely, the iconic shoulderguards worn by Garrosh Hellscream cost 38500 Bronze, as well as 20 Bones of Mannoroth. Whereas Bronze is abundant and can be found just about anywhere in Pandaria, the Bones of Mannoroth only drop from Garrosh in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid. The amount obtained per kill depends on the raid difficulty:

  • Garrosh Hellscream on Normal Difficulty drops 1 Bones of Mannoroth.
  • Garrosh Hellscream on Heroic Difficulty drops 4 Bones of Mannoroth.
  • Garrosh Hellscream on Mythic Difficulty drops 10 Bones of Mannoroth.

Though Dragonflight recently released its final patch, some World of Warcraft players believe that The War Within isn't that far away. With Mists of Pandaria Remix ending on August 19, 2024, and taking the average length of alpha testing for Shadowlands and Dragonflight into consideration, World of Warcraft fans speculate that the next expansion could release in late August 2024.
