In World of Warcraft: Dragonflight there are now more options than ever for the Vengeance Demon Hunter talent tank builds. The Talent system has been completely revamped and roughly resembles what we see in WoW Classic. You will never be able to compare the DH's new talent trees to classic though because of course, the class was only first introduced in the Legion expansion. So now, for the first time ever, there are many choices to make that you've never been able to make before! Gone are the 3-choice tiers of talents, usher in the new era of talent systems.

Best Overall Talent Build for Vengeance DH in WoW: Dragonflight

Luckily, Dragonflight comes with a "Starter Build" you can use if you'd like to simply have the game assign you talents to start with. This build is available if you open your talent UI and choose "Starter Build" in the bottom left corner. If you'd like, you can use this to have the most new player-friendly experience. If you want something a little more curated to specific scenarios, follow along for some other suggestions.

You will need to fill out both the Demon Hunter Class Talent Tree and the Vengeance (Tank) Specialization Talent Tree when choosing talents for your DH in WoW Dragonflight. The DH Class tree represents a tree that all Demon Hunters can use regardless of their specialization. The Vengeance tree will be specific to the tanking specialization and only active when you have that specialization chosen.

In this guide, we will go over what we recommend as the best overall talent choices to tank with for the Vengeance DH. As new data and tank rankings are gathered, we will add in additional talent builds with specific targets such as a Meta Raid Talent Build, and PvP talent builds as well.

Class Talents: Vengeance Demon Hunter

The class talents chosen in this build revolve around Sigils to synergize with Elysian Decree, providing damage reduction for your party, and obtaining The Hunt and Darkness.

Dragonflight Talents: Demon Hunter Tank Raid Build

This DH Tanking build focuses mainly on damage mitigation and self-healing. Use this build if you are having troubles survive in Mythics, or if you are in a Raid format and want the most damage mitigation to survive bosses. If you are looking for more of an AoE and damage-output build, move on to the next section.

Dragonflight Vengeance Demon Hunter Talent AoE Mythic+ Build

The AoE talent guild for Mythics for the Vengeance DH comes down to mobility and damage output. You want to be moving and outputting as much damage as possible, while holding threat and surviving. You will find this build leaves out some of the defence-oriented talents in favor of choosing even more damage dealing skills and damage buffing talents.

Finally, at the bottom right of the Talent Menu there are three optional talents. These are Talents used in PvP and don't have any effect on raid DPS.
