World of Warcraft Dragonflight players have a lot of great class/spec options when it comes to tanking their way through the latest expansion's content. There are plenty of viable options, as long as tanks are willing to take the time to master their rotations, get the right talents in place, and wrap their heads around the ideal stat priorities for their spec.

Demon Hunters have the option of going for either the DPS or Tank role in World of Warcraft, but the Vengeance Demon Hunters are usually focused on fulfilling the tank role. Tanking well is an incredibly valuable skill set and can help guarantee invites and spots in Mythic and Raid groups when players reach the endgame. Once players have the right Vengeance talents in place, they'll want to start studying stat priorities to understand what is most valuable for them.

As always, exact stat priority does shift around a bit depending on each situation and strategy while playing this top tier tanking spec. Vengeance Demon Hunter Stat Priority

  2. Stamina
  3. Armor
  4. Haste
  5. Versatility
  6. Critical Strike
  7. Mastery

Vengeance Demon Hunter Stats Explained

Agility

Agility is the primary stat for Vengeance Demon Hunters. Agility will increase attack power and damage done with abilities. It also helps increase Armor (while Demon Spikes is active) and dodge.

Stamina

Stamina helps increase Demon Hunter Health and is valuable, but likely will just be an added bonus on any top tier gear.

Armor

As a tank, Armor is going to be very important. The Armor primary stat increases physical mitigation. At this point, there is no cap to worry about for Armor.

Haste

Haste reduces some cooldowns that are crucial to the Vengeance Demon Hunter rotation and also increases proc rates on a ton of crucial abilities.

Versatility

As usual, Versatility boosts all damage and healing done and decreases all incoming damage.

Critical Strike

Critical Strike has been an important stat for WoW Hunters for years and that isn't changing in Dragonflight. Crits deal double damage and healing when they pop off and, for Vengeance Demon Hunters, also covery to Parry Rating.

Mastery

Mastery will increase Attack Power for Demon Hunters, in addition to having some nice synergies with Demon Spikes.

Ideal Stat Caps

At this point, it's impossible to hit the caps for any of the Vengeance Demon Hunter stats. At some point in the future Dragonflight meta game it's possible that might change.

That should be everything that Vengeance Demon Hunters need to know as they figure out their stat priorities and begin dominating the WoW Dragonflight endgame content. Be sure to check back for more WoW Dragonflight news, updates, and strategy guides in the near future. Until then, For the Horde!

World of Warcraft is available now on PC. Dragonflight launches on November 28.
