Chances are that Terros is the second boss you’ll encounter in the first World of Warcraft: Dragonflight raid, Vault of the Incarnates. Our guide will cover his abilities and a general strategy to help kill the boss.

Terros Abilities

Note that any numerical values are based on the raid’s Normal Mode.

Rock Blast

Terros launches a swirling vortex of energized earth at a player, inflicting 696,966 Nature damage split evenly among players within 12 yards and causing eruptions of Awakened Earth. Afterward, an Aftershock occurs at the impact location.
The Aftershock of Rock Blast inflicts 83,636 Nature damage to players within 12 yards, knocking them upwards.
The earth erupts beneath several players with Awakened Earth , inflicting 20,038 Nature damage to players within 2 yards and knocking them back. Upon erupting, begins to inflict 5,227 Nature damage to all players every 2 sec until destroyed. Upon destruction, releases a Seismic Assault.
Seismic Assault inflicts 17,424 Nature damage to all players. Inflicts an additional 1,742 Nature damage every 0.5 sec for 12 sec.

Resonating Annihilation

Upon reaching 100 energy, Terros unleashes his volatile power with a brutal slam. This slam inflicts 346,741 Nature damage to all players in a frontal cone, destroys Awakened Earth, and leaves Resonant Aftermath in its wake. The cavern shutters from the force of the impact, inflicting an additional 33,106 Nature damage to all players and causing Fractured Rubble to fall from the ceiling.
Resonant Aftermath is when the earth pulses with resonating energy, inflicting 34,848 Nature damage every 1 sec to players within the area.
Fractured Rubble falls from the ceiling, inflicting 69,784 Nature damage to players within 6 yards of the impact location.

Shattering Impact

Terros fractures the earth, inflicting 182,954 Nature damage to players within 12 yards of the impact location and knocking them upwards. Causes Fractured Rubble to fall from the ceiling.

Concussive Slam

Terros discharges a line of tectonic energy that inflicts 175,984 Physical damage to players and increases damage taken by 30% for 45 sec. This effect stacks. Destroys any Awakened Earth caught in the blast.

Frenzied Devastation

Upon filling the chamber with Resonant Aftermath, Terros begins radiating devastating waves of earthen energy that inflict 29,621 Nature damage and increase damage taken from Frenzied Devastation by 50%.

Tectonic Barrage

If no player is within reach, Terros continually emits tectonic pulses that inflict 54,015 Nature damage.

Terros Strategy

The Terros encounter is mostly a gear check. The mechanics are simple and straightforward. If your raid is dealing enough damage and you do the mechanics correctly, he’ll die in no time.

You’ll fight Terros as he stands in the room, with the tank engaging the boss in the center. The group needs to make sure they all soak Rock Blast together, before moving out of the Aftershock that takes place after it. Awakened Earth will go out, sometimes simultaneously as well. If you’re affected by Awakened Earth, you can still help soak, but your most important job is to safely drop the pillars out of harm’s way.

The best thing for players is to stay in a loose stack so that one Concussive Slam can eliminate all the pillars. The tank will need to make sure they position the Concussive Slam correctly to destroy the pillars.

The Shattering Impact is pretty simple: stand out of the brown swirly it spawns and you’ll be fine.

When Terros casts Resonating Annihilation, he’ll make a quarter of the room unusable. The Resonating Aftermath will deal damage that will eventually kill you if you keep standing in it. The goal is to kill Terros before he makes all four quarters of the room covered with the Aftermath.

Terros Heroic Mode

Numerical values for boss health and damage from abilities increases.
Fractured Rubble will not leave behind Resonant Aftermath. This limits the amount of space you can use.
- Note: Rubble is triggered by Resonating Annihilation and Shattering Impact.

Terros Loot Table

The ilvl for Terros' Loot Table varies by the raid's difficulty. Normal loot has an ilvl of 389, Heroic 402, and Mythic 415.
