The Havoc Demon Hunter is an extremely fun class to play, and it just got a whole lot better with the talent system revamp in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. The new talent system has brought back full talent trees, rather than the simple pick-one-of-three system that Retail WoW has had for awhile now. With these new trees, there are more choices than ever to fine-tune how you want to play your class!

Best Overall Talent Build for Havoc DH in WoW: Dragonflight

Luckily, Dragonflight comes with a "Starter Build" you can use if you'd like to simply have the game assign you talents to start with. This build is available if you open your talent UI and choose "Starter Build" in the bottom left corner. If you'd like, you can use this to have the most new player-friendly experience. If you want something a little more curated to specific scenarios, follow along for some other suggestions.

You will need to fill out both the Demon Hunter Class Talent Tree and the Havoc(DPS) Specialization Talent Tree when choosing talents for your DH in WoW Dragonflight. The Demon Hunter Class tree represents a tree that all Demon Hunters can use regardless of their specialization. The Havoc tree will be specific to the tanking specialization and only active when you have that specialization chosen.

In this guide, we will go over what we recommend as the best overall talent choices to DPS with for the Havoc DH in the Dragonflight expansion. As new data and DPS rankings are gathered, we will add in additional talent builds with specific targets such as a Meta Raid Talent Build, and PvP talent builds as well.

Class Talents: Havoc Demon Hunter

The class talents we suggest for the Havoc Demon Hunter cover mostly the left side and center of the talent tree. The focus here is to obtain any extra damage dealing talents, and it focuses more on AoE than anything else. This is particularly good for Mythic+ dungeons, but will also be suitable for raids. Most of the talents left off the plate here are related to survivability and self healing.

Dragonflight Talents: Demon Hunter DPS Raid Build

The raid build for the Havoc Demon Hunter focuses on single-target damage. All of the talents chosen center around this and attempt to create the best focus on boss damage. There are a few strong choices you can swap in or out, such as adding Fel Barrage or Glaive Tempest into the mix, but as these are AoE oriented, we leave them out for this build.

Dragonflight Havoc Demon Hunter Talent AoE Mythic+ Build

When building a Mythic+ talent build, you want to make sure you are including as much AoE as you can. This build focuses on obtaining any talents that increase your damage to multiple enemies by focusing on Immolation Aura. Another strong option is to remove the final talent Any Means Necessary to swap for Accelerating Blade. Accelerating Blade will be very useful if you place your glaive throws appropriately.

Finally, at the bottom right of the Talent Menu there are three optional talents. These are Talents used in PvP and don't have any effect on raid DPS.
