World of Warcraft players who want to maximize their PvE and PvP performance have a lot to keep track of. In addition to knowing the best talents, ability rotations, and gear; endgame fans of the MMO should also understand the stat priorities for their class and specialization.

When it comes to Beast Master Hunters playing through WoW Dragonflight content, they definitely have some stat prioritization rules they'll want to follow in order to climb the DPS charts and make sure they're a valuable addition to any heroic or mythic dungeon (and eventually end game raids, as well).

Stat priorities do shift around for Beast Mastery Hunters (like any class) depending on where a player is in the game and whether they are concentrating on dungeons or raids and single target versus multi-target DPS. This guide provides a great starting point and will be a particularly strong strategy for Heroic and Mythic+ dungeon focused Hunters.

Beast Mastery Stats Explained

Agility

Agility's importance shouldn't come as a surprise for Beast Mastery Hunters who have reached the end game. This is the primary stat for the spec and increases attack power and damage done with abilities.

Weapon DPS

The second top tier stat for Beast Mastery Hunters is Weapon DPS. Higher Weapon DPS increases damage done with weapons and abilities that rely on weapon damage, which are quite important for hunters.

Mastery

Mastery increases damage done by all Beast Mastery Hunter pets and any talents that summon beasts. That means just about every bit of damage done by creatures controlled or summoned by a Beast Mastery Hunter are increased by Mastery.

Critical Strike

Critical Strike has been an important stat for WoW Hunters for years and that isn't changing in Dragonflight. Crits lead to lots of extra damage and have synergy with a number of important pieces of the optimal Beast Mastery ability rotation.

Haste

Stacking Haste on Beast Mastery Hunters will help with Focus regeneration, attack speed, and reducing the Global Cooldown significantly.

Versatility

This stat boosts all damage and healing done and decreases all incoming damage.

Ideal Stat Caps

The core four stats do have points of diminishing returns like usual. This is something that only endgame, top-tier players usually need to worry about. If players do find themselves in that situation, they should follow these guidelines for determining when to stop stacking a particular stat and prioritize differently.

Mastery Rating - Cap at 1050

Critical Strike - Cap at 40%

Haste - Cap at 30%

Versatility - Cap at 30%

That should be everything that Beast Mastery Hunters need to know as they figure out their stat priorities and beging dominating the WoW Dragonflight endgame content. Be sure to check back for more WoW Dragonflight news, updates, and strategy guides in the near future. Until then, For the Horde!
