It is important to remember that this list is not exhaustive. There are dozens of different currencies scattered throughout World of Warcraft’s many expansions, many of which may become transferable even if they are not listed here. These conversion rates could also change before they are implemented on the live servers. Either way, fans can likely expect these and more currencies to become tradable between characters as of The War Within's Pre-Patch.

Fans are understandably excited about this change coming to World of Warcraft. While some currencies can be exchanged already, the process usually involves buying and mailing items, which can prove tedious. The simplicity and expansion of this new system will make collecting and spending currencies across multiple characters significantly more convenient.

The War Within Pre-Patch does not currently have a release date, but the expansion itself does. World of Warcraft: The War Within comes out on August 26, with early access starting four days earlier. Typically, Pre-Patch events run for about a month before their respective expansions come out, so fans can probably expect The War Within’s somewhere in late July. Either way, World of Warcraft will probably reveal an official Pre-Patch start date, as well as all the features and events coming in the update, in the next few weeks.
