World of Warcraft streamer WowGrandma78 may have received the best birthday gift one could ask for during her birthday Twitch stream. She started a "no limit" birthday sub-a-thon and got a surprise raid from CouRageJD, amounting to a huge payout.

WoWGrandma78 is an 80-year-old streamer who predominantly plays World of Warcraft and has been since 2004. She is a well-acclaimed pro at the MMORPG with many years of playing. She started her Twitch Channel in 2020, keeping it active with a consistent streaming schedule.

During her 80th birthday stream, WowGrandma78 was surprised by a raid she never saw coming from popular YouTuber and streamer CouRageJD. He shared WowGrandma78’s channel on Twitter, stating that she is his favorite streamer on the Twitch platform. His shout-out was as wholesome as things could get as he asked his fans to go support her birthday stream with a massive raid. Because of this, her viewer count shot up and WoWGrandma78 received a slew of happy birthday wishes in her steam chat. CouRageJD followed up by gifting 200 subscriptions to those in her chat and pushed for them to use their free Twitch Prime subscriptions on her channel.

Following CouRageJD’s great surprise came another surprise from popular Twitch streamer Trainwreckstv, as he gifted WowGrandma78 with a $10,000 donation, stating, “it’s all love baby” on the memo line. Between Trainwreckstv and CouRageJD’s communities coming together for the World of Warcraft streamer, they raised more than $20,000 in subscriptions, donations, and bits within the first two hours of streaming. CouRageJD returned to Twitter to state that all the contributions would help her purchase the dentures she mentioned needing assistance with in the past.

It is safe to say that kindness goes a long way, and in this case, the amount of love and support WowGrandma78 received during the stream is an understatement. In less than two hours, her stream timer extended from 10 hours to over 200 hours, and with 250 hours left, she received 1,601 subscriptions, 94,700 Bits, and $10,120 in donations. Although not all Twitch interactions are the greatest considering the situation with streamer Dr. Disrespect, it’s nice to see streamers supporting one another in wholesome scenarios such as this.

The first two hours of WowGrandma78’s stream were a financial success and will push her to continue streaming with such a fantastic community of players and fans. Hopefully, Twitch raids as positive as this one can occur more often, as many streamers deserve respect and support.
