A recent leak unveils the details for an upcoming World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion, Chains of Domination. Originally a Blizzcon 2021 reveal, the leak for World of Warcraft comes from Blizzard's event press kits.

This weekend BlizzCon 2021 is going to be the first one that is entirely digital. Recently, Blizzard revealed the schedule for the event which showed multiple panels for the gaming company's main series. In that list is World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the massive multiplayer online game set in a fantasy world. But the recent leak gives fans a look into the surprising awaiting them at the digital event.

The first main content patch coming to the MMO is titled Chains of Domination and takes place after the defeat of Sire Denathrius. Players will be heading into the Jailer's domain, in search of the details behind his schemes. Members of the Horde and Alliance will team up with the four Covenants to take on the root of the Jailer's power. But they should be wary, because a dangerous entity lurks below that is able to instill fear into the heroes of Azeroth.

The expansion itself includes a series of diverse content for fans to explore. The City of Secrets, Korthia, will have a host of new quests and activities to engage with. Those hoping for story content can enjoy a campaign to unite the four Covenants too. The Sanctum of Domination is a 10-boss raid including the Eye of the Jailer, a Tarragrue, and the Banshee Queen. To keep the action going, players can take on an eight-boss mega-dungeon set in Tazavesh, the Veiled Market. And finally, Blizzard is adding a Shadowlands Raid, Dungeons, PvP content, and even quests for flying in the Covenants' realms.

It is a little unfortunate that all the BlizzCon 2021 details were leaked to the public. The event starts tomorrow, February 19, so it is not like players would have been waiting much longer to find out. The content of this expansion seems fairly packed, so there would have been a lot of surprises during the show. Though, leaks this big will likely only encourage World of Warcraft players to tune in to find out more information.

While it is possible that there could more reveals beyond the leak, players may not want to get their hopes up. It does sound like the entire press kit was revealed so any other major announcements are likely off the table. Some may be disappointed that the focus is merely on another World of Warcraft expansion on the list. At the very least, Chains of Domination should provide some excitement for fans of the classic MMO.
