World of Warcraft Making Changes to Allied Race Starting Zones for First Time in Seven Years

WoW Patch 10.2.7, Dark Heart, overhauls a couple of Allied Race starting zones for the first time since they were added almost seven years ago.

However, this new way to play World of Warcraft is more than just a throwback to the 2012 expansion. WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria recently hit the Public Test Realm, meaning players can check it out for themselves now. While WoW fan and lore expert Portergauge was testing the new feature, he noticed something interesting: the Mists of Pandaria Remix features a canon story about the Bronze and Infinite Dragons from World of Warcraft. He chronicled the starting experience on Twitter, which stars Eternus and her splinter faction of Infinite Dragons as she tries to share the lessons she learned from Nozdormu during the Bronze Reconciliation quest in Patch 10.1.7.

WoW Remix: MoP Continues the Infinite Dragons Story

During the intro scenario, Eternus explains the purpose of WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria is reflection, and to see if the tragedies of the past serve any purpose. She does not fully believe in the True Timeline as the Bronze Dragons in World of Warcraft do, but she and her allies seek to see things from their own perspective. That said, not all the Infinite Dragonflight is on her side, and the player must fend off these malcontents from interfering with Eternus’ work.

Once players help set up Eternus’ base of operations, they are rewarded with a special cloak that grows in power as they do. After a cryptic encounter with some Time elementals, fans are then dropped off on their respective faction airships in the Mists of Pandaria intro scenario, where they dive into the plot of the World of Warcraft expansion proper.

Needless to say, fans are intrigued by the clever tie-in to the Infinite Dragonflight through this PvE event. It remains to be seen if there will be any further developments to this story beyond this short scenario, but it certainly sets up World of Warcraft to explore the Infinites with other Remix events later on. Either way, with Infinite Dragon NPCs selling items and offering game services across every Mists of Pandaria zone, it seems like World of Warcraft is letting players truly work with the Infinites for the first time in this event.
