World of Warcraft is adding a new broom mount to the game for its in-game Halloween event. This new World of Warcraft mount can be used year-round, and will likely be easily-obtained by all players through the Trading Post.

It seems like World of Warcraft is planning something big for Hallow’s End this year. New achievements, rewards, and zone updates discovered on the Patch 10.1.7 Public Test Realm have teased just a few of the things players can expect for the year’s spookiest in-game event.

Now, players have found an amazing new mount players will be able to earn in World of Warcraft. Eve’s Ghastly Rider is a high-resolution flying broom mount that features new textures, a saddle, and even a cosmetic lantern dangling from the front. Though it had been datamined in previous builds, recent files from the World of Warcraft Patch 10.1.7 PTR have given the mount a source: the Trading Post. Considering the item currently has no Traders Tender cost associated with it, Eve’s Ghastly Rider will likely be unlocked by completing all the monthly Traverler’s Log activities for October.

There is technically a broom mount in World of Warcraft already. The Magic Broom is an instant-cast flying mount players can earn during Hallow’s End. However, the broom could only be used during the in-game event period, and was automatically deleted once the Halloween event in WoW was over. Eve’s Ghastly Rider, on the other hand, can be used year-round, though it gains the same instant-cast buff as its lower-resolution counterpart for the duration of Hallow’s End.

Needless to say, World of Warcraft fans are excited to collect this new mount. Players loved using the Magic Broom mount during Halloween, but always wished they could use it outside the event period. Now that they can collect this new and improved broom mount, many are looking forward to living out their witchy fantasies all year long.

It is important to note Eve’s Ghastly Rider is not officially implemented in the game yet. The new collectible is still only in the Public Test Realm, meaning the mount, the method of unlocking it, or how it works could change before going live. That said, the evidence World of Warcraft players have discovered heavily suggest players being able to earn this new broom mount via Dragonflight's new Trading Post feature, so it is unlikely to change too much before then. Either way, with October right around the corner, players won’t have to wait long to find out for sure.

World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
