Players have been battling these giant proto-drakes and their forces, refusing to let them further their plans of destruction. But as this lore unfolds, World of Warcraft has shown that these Incarnates are not just run-of-the-mill bad guys.

Each of the four Primal Incarnates has a unique personality and motivation, the divisions between them becoming ever clearer as time passes. Each One of World of Warcraft's Primal Incarnates Is Unique

World of Warcraft Dragonflight Primal Incarnates Raszageth-1

The first Incarnate that players met in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight was Raszageth. She is the youngest of the four, and her element is that of Azeroth’s violent storms. She commands the skies, bringing wind, rain, and lightning wherever she goes. As the weakest of her family, she was imprisoned by the Aspects within the Forbidden Reach, away from the other Incarnates. This oversight allowed the Primalists to release her far more easily, kick-starting the Dragonflight storyline.

Once Raszageth was released, she admonished the Aspects for their obedience to the Titans, disgusted and betrayed by Alexstrasza's actions. The Storm Incarnate made it clear that she wanted to free her siblings, and together all four Incarnates would unleash the elements upon Azeroth and scour the taint of Order from their planet. This was not to be for Raszageth, however, as she was slain as the final boss in Dragonflight’s first raid.

The second Incarnate is Fyrakk, the Flaming. He is puerile and impatient, and revels in senseless destruction. His ambitions don’t stretch much farther than spreading his fires far and wide, incinerating all who oppose him. Recently, he has infused himself with Shadowflame, which makes him more powerful and likely corrupted his intentions even further.

The third Incarnate is Vyranoth, whose element is ice. Naturally, her personality follows suit, remaining cool, aloof, and sharp. She once had a deeply personal relationship with Alexstrasza, the Dragon Queen’s betrayal cutting her especially deep. However, although the Ice Incarnate loathes the Titans and their influence upon dragonkind, she will not stand by and allow Azeroth to fall to corruption. She has recently decided to ally once more with Alexstrasza and the dragon Aspects, condemning Fyrakk’s ideals.

The final member of the Incarnates is Iridikron, his horns and scales made from the rumbling earth he commands. Iridikron is steady, fearless, and unstoppable as stone. Though his methods are not yet confirmed, the great proto-drake has made his intent clear. He wishes to use a mighty weapon, made using both void magic and the essence of the ancient proto-dragon Galakrond. With this immense power, he plans to lure the Titans back to Azeroth and kill them. A lofty goal, to be sure, but Iridikron’s confidence is chilling.

Although the Aspects know that Iridikron is the most dangerous and cunning of the Incarnates, right now they have to spend all their effort on fighting Fyrakk and his new allies, the Druids of the Flame. This is, of course, exactly what Iridikron has been counting on, but there isn’t much of a choice considering what’s at stake.

With all this in mind, it becomes clear how much of a problem the Primal Incarnates present, aside from Vyranoth, whose integrity has remained intact. Her aid will be invaluable in the coming fights, and one can only wonder whether Raszageth would have also condemned her brothers for their recklessness. Regardless, World of Warcraft’s story is headed for another exciting climax, and the future of all dragonkind will depend on its outcome.
