With World of Warcraft Classic: The Burning Crusade in the hands of new and old players alike, everyone's trying to get everywhere they can. Horde players with an interest in gemcrafting have one destination on the top of their list: Silvermoon City. For those looking for a guide to getting to the capital city of the Blood Elves, here's a quick guide to finding the place.

Path 1: Silvermoon Portal

The fastest and simplest way to get to Silvermoon City is to hunt down a mage above level 40. With Blizzard lowering the price of clone characters, it shouldn't be particularly difficult to do. A mage who knows Portal: Silvermoon can teleport someone directly there, for a fee. Of course, for those who don't want to spend the time or money hunting down this way, there are other methods.

Path 2: Eastern Plaguelands

The second, significantly more dangerous way, is heading to the northern part of the Eastern Plaguelands. It's possible to go to the Ghostlands from there, which lead to Silvermoon City. However, there are high level mobs guarding this area. Anyone who goes in under-leveled may become familiar with World of Warcraft's recently changed profanity filter. Unless players are confident in their battle prowess, this should be the last resort.

Path 3: Shattrath Portal

The city of Shattrath has a pretty easy way to get to Silvermoon City: a stable portal. In fact, Shattrath has portals to several different cities, from Silvermoon to Orgrimmar. The downside here is that Shattrath lies at the end of an area that is meant for high level players, much like the Plaguelands. With World of Warcraft Classic: The Burning Crusade getting hit with DDoS attacks, it might not be a good idea to take on the difficult route only to lose all progress to such an attack. Fortunately, there's one more route that isn't nearly so difficult.

Path 4: Lordaeron Ruins

There's an Orb of Translocation that leads to Silvermoon City, and it's fairly easy to reach. Head to the Ruins of Lordaeron and to the outer courtyard, just beyond Tirisfal Glades. Head up the stairs towards the right and into the Orb room. The orb leads directly to Silvermoon, no fuss no muss. From there it's on to gemcrafting and checking out Asmongold's latest statement on World of Warcraft.
