PvP and rank are two terms that go hand in hand in World of Warcraft. However, when ranks don't adjust after play, it can be quite the issue for any game. This was the case in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic, where players weren't ranking up and were voicing concern on the message boards. However, it appears there's good news on the horizon.

Evidently, Blizzard will be putting out a patch this week due to the issue surrounding the ranking up for PvP players. This was acknowledged on the World of Warcraft message boards by one of the moderators.

The moderator, named Kaivax, made sure to let the players know that the issue was known. Kaivax informed the players that there was a bug, and while rank was being kept track of on the servers, it wasn't being correctly calculated for the Burning Crusade Classic servers. Kaivax let the community know there would be a fix for the World of Warcraft mode going in for it next week (this week) and that there was no need to worry. The community quickly thanked the moderator for the response, as many had been informing it was happening on EU servers as well.

The response comes 2 days after the initial post by a player named Axewipe. In the post, Axewipe says that after cloning their level 60 to the Burning Crusade Classic server, the character on the World of Warcraft Classic server ranked up, but the one on Burning Crusade Classic did not. This was followed up by many others supporting the claim that it was not working.

With less than a week of opening up, the World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic servers have been met with excitement and some small issues having to be looked at. Hotfixes have been made to the game on May 20 and 21. While not entirely unusual, it has seemed to be a bit of a stutter step out of the gate. The PvP rank issue, along with another that was making the raid Blackrock Spire a 5-man raid (Kaivax confirmed that it is a 10 man raid in this current iteration), are both looking to be updated this week.

Issues aside, players have been waiting for the Burning Crusade Classic to open up. With the servers being open to anyone with a current World of Warcraft account, fans can once again experience what is regarded by many as one of the best times in the history of World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft is available now on macOS and PC.
