New artwork and details about Monolith Productions' upcoming Wonder Woman game have seemingly leaked online. Assuming that these documents are legitimate, they potentially provide more information on the Warner Brothers-developed superhero title than anything the company itself has publicly shared over the last few years. Although these details might not be directly from an official source, they may at least give fans a rough idea of what this Wonder Woman game could be about.

After years of silence from Monolith Productions following the release of 2017's Middle-earth: Shadow of War, the famed development studio finally unveiled its next project at The Game Awards 2021. Many were expecting the developer to announce a third Lord of the Rings title, but Monolith surprised its fans by revealing that it was working on an open-world Wonder Woman game instead. Unfortunately, since its announcement, Monolith Productions has largely gone silent yet again, save for some occasional tidbits of information that it has shared about the superhero game here and there. Gamers have impatiently waited to get a major update of any sort about the project from Warner Brothers itself, but to no avail. However, it seems that fans may finally have the opportunity to get a large insight into the Wonder Woman game, courtesy of a new leak.

New Report Is Bad News for Monolith's Wonder Woman Game

A newly emerged report is bad news for fans waiting for Monolith's untitled Wonder Woman game that finally show something of substance.

A Redditor named ThrowawayMedicalAcc made a post on the r/DCULeaks subreddit claiming that they had taken screenshots of artwork and information about Monolith's Wonder Woman game from an "online marketing survey." The leaked images the user linked to - which have since been deleted - contained many different things, including photos of multiple-choice questions and stills of alleged Wonder Woman concept art, the latter of which depicted potential landscapes and setpieces in the upcoming superhero title. Details about the game's U.K. pricing (£69.99), platforms (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC), and PEGI rating (12+) were mentioned in the documents as well.

Details About the Upcoming Wonder Woman Game Have Reportedly Leaked Online

A plot description for Monolith's Wonder Woman project has apparently leaked alongside these screenshots, too. According to the story summary from this leak, the upcoming open-world superhero game is a "single-player action-adventure" title in which players will use their "godlike strength to deal shattering blows and tear through enemies in an epic battle to protect [Wonder Woman's] birthplace from" an army of invading monsters commanded by "the powerful sorceress Circe." As the main storyline progresses, Wonder Woman must also "repair [her] relationship with [her] mother, Queen Hippolyta, and [her] fellow Amazons who feel betrayed by [her] decision to leave" her "island homeland of Themyscira" years ago.

Among other things, the leaked documents also re-confirm that the Nemesis System will make a return in the Wonder Woman game. This means that, like in Monolith's Middle-earth titles, allies and enemies will remember the choices that players make and react accordingly, whether that be in a positive or negative way. Based off of exciting features like this and the details mentioned in the rest of the leaked information, the Wonder Woman game could truly end up being something special if Monolith Productions manages to stick the landing.
