Although there’s no update on whether Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will be seen donning the iconic cowl in Deadpool & Wolverine, an astonishing fan-made trailer envisions Jackman in a more accurate comic book version of the character.

Jackman took the world by storm in 2000 when he portrayed Wolverine for the first time on the big screen. Since then, the actor has gone on to portray the legendary comic-book character in several projects. However, Jackman has never been seen wearing the iconic mask that the superhero dons in the comics. Now, a recently shared fan-made trailer on social media, sees the aforementioned star sporting the much-needed gear.

Did Deadpool & Wolverine Find Inspiration From A Spider-Man Scene?

Fans eagerly await Deadpool & Wolverine's premiere, especially after a recent trailer hinted at a parallel to another Marvel classic, Spider-Man.

VFX artist Taran Singh shared a video on X and envisioned Jackman in the Wolverine costume, including the mask. The revised trailer seamlessly blends various scenes featured in the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer. The notable alteration is Wolverine donning his signature mask, rendering Jackman’s portrayal similar to the beloved comic-book depiction of the X-Men character. One of the most interesting aspects of the fan-made clip is how it shows before-and-after shots. These shots offer a clearer view of the mask’s integration into the footage and the costume.

Even though there hasn’t been any official confirmation whether Jackman will be wearing the cowl in the upcoming film, it won’t come as a shock if we see the character in the same attire that he wears in the comics. There have been several reports that Deadpool & Wolverine will include a mask that would be comic-accurate. Including the iconic mask might be one of the several callbacks that would be incorporated into the film that might change the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever. However, it doesn’t mean that the film would just rely on these significant comebacks to provide enthralling entertainment. A lot of new scenarios will emerge in the upcoming movie that might change the course of the ongoing timeline in the MCU. Additionally, the film’s director, Shawn Levy, has already made it clear that people wouldn’t have to watch previous movies to understand what’s happening in front of them.

In a recent interview, Levy noted that, as a fan, he wouldn’t want to do research before watching a movie. Although he reassured fans that he has incorporated a lot of things from comic folklore, he didn’t shy away from saying that people can enjoy the film without doing any kind of homework. While Deadpool & Wolverine stands independently as a fusion of the Deadpool and Wolverine characters, tt will feature familiar faces from previous Deadpool films, portrayed by the same actors. Moreover, the film is anticipated to be brimming with significant cameos, enriching the narrative with diverse character appearances. On the other hand, a recent rumor suggested that the movie will bring the concept where one superhero holds the key to that universe’s survival. If it happens, this would be the first time that Marvel will be introducing the aforementioned concept in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fans cannot wait to see two of the most popular characters sharing a frame in the upcoming film.

Deadpool & Wolverine is slated to release in theaters on July 26.
