Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has an intriguing leveling system that relies on morale to determine the power level of the player, the allies, and the enemies. To put it simply, finding Battle Flags and Marker Flags will bolster morale within each level, and better morale makes for a higher success rate in dealing with Wo Long’s difficulty.
Finding each flag within The Valley of Crying Wraiths level may seem like a daunting task, but it is more than manageable so long as the player knows where to look. Here's where players can find them all.
Battle Flag 1
The first Battle Flag in almost every level of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is already accessible from the spawn point. The first Battle Flag in the Valley of Crying Wraiths is no exception.
Battle Flag 2
Follow along the path from Battle Flag 1. Eventually, the player will reach a split. One path allows the player to head down towards the barren ravine-like area, while the other to the left will lead upwards to the second Battle Flag that stands just before the wooden bridge (the first of many wooden bridges in this level).
Marker Flag 1
Backtrack to the split paths. The ravine is heavily guarded but at the end of the path, a Marker Flag can be claimed as it is tucked away on the left side.
Battle Flag 3
From Battle Flag 2, head across the wooden bridge and to the right. After defeating the enemies guarding it, this flag can be claimed.
Battle Flag 4
From Battle Flag 3, start working upward using the wooden bridges positioned along the pathway. Eventually, there will be another crossroads. One that leads left where an enemy Battle Flag is positioned, and the other leading right. Defeating the guardian of this Battle Flag will allow the player to collect it and boost their morale yet again.
Marker Flag 2
Backtrack to that split path again and head to the right. There is a mage perched just above next to a small stone bridge. Defeat him and head along the stone bridge. Keep going over the wooden bridges, but make sure to avoid the weak wood that is sure to collapse if the player steps on it. At the end of this pathway is the second Marker Flag for this section.
Battle Flag 5
From Marker Flag 2, head straight back and continue on the path until reaching a large, circular platform with a giant birdlike enemy pacing. There are two pathways to the right and left to skirt around this platform and out of the enemy’s sight. Head to the left. With some delicate platforming, there will be a ladder on the far side. Climb up the ladder and claim Battle Flag 5.
Marker Flag 3
From Battle Flag 5, the player can either go straight across the platform and challenge Suanyu, the demon bird, or use the ladder to avoid them. Either way, head past the far side of the platform from Battle Flag 5. There is a brutish enemy ahead. Just beyond him is a Marker Flag.
Battle Flag 6
There is another pathway near Marker Flag 3 that leads down. Follow this path until coming to an elbow bend wooden bridge. There is a ladder here that leads up. Be wary of a sneak attack from the left, but if all goes well, the sixth Battle Flag should be easy to collect.
Marker Flag 4
From Battle Flag 6, proceed along the path until coming to another fork. One option leads up to the right, the other is a more open space to the left. Head right and maneuver up. Defeat the warlocks first as their spells are boosting the morale of the other enemies in the area. Keep proceeding upward. There is a cluster of warlocks positioned on a slightly raised platform. Just past them is Marker Flag 4.
Battle Flag 7
Either backtrack or jump down to the river area below. The objective lies behind the waterfall. Follow the path straight to the enemy leader. Defeat the guardian of this flag to claim it.
Marker Flag 5
There is one more flag to be claimed. From Battle Flag 7, face towards the waterfall but look slightly left. Platforming up will allow access to the last Marker Flag. Just be wary of the tiger enemy stalking the area.
