PvP and Co-Op are fairly new features to the Soulslike genre. As campaign and PvE-focused games, adding these elements can possibly be a detriment to the experience. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty explores these new waters as it allows PvP to occur on some of its maps.

Depending on how things are coming along, an invasion can be exciting or it can also pop up at the absolute worst time. Players who allow invasions to occur can look forward to some brief-but-intense combat that may enhance the experience of playing Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

Beat 'The Demon Fort Of The Yellow Heaven' Battlefield

PvP is not made available immediately. This is likely for the best, new players who are just getting used to the controls and haven't unlocked all of their potential features should not have to be bombarded by veteran player attacks. It's not fine to fight against somebody with the best gear in the game while learning to block and parry.

These Pvp modes will be unlocked starting when the player completes 'The Demon Fort of the Yellow Heaven' battlefield. Knowing that PvP can start at this point, it's wise to have an early-game build in place for when this kind of fighting breaks out.

How To Invade

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Invading Another Player's Realm
  1. Interact with a Battle Flag.
  2. Select 'Online Lobby.'
  3. Choose 'Invade.'
  4. Choose a player to attack.

Going on the offensive will show players a few qualifiers. High-level players will have their stats and gear adjusted to match the player they are fighting. Their health pool is also adjusted way down.

This feature keeps all PvP battles in the favor of the player being invaded. However, not all virtues are equal and some late-game weapons, even when scaled down, are still far better than what can be made available in the early going. A well-geared player will still have a notable chance o beating the person they invade.

Getting Invaded

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Allowing An Invasion
  • Settings > Online Settings > Invasions By Hostile Players > Allow

This setting will be on by default and not be toggled off for gamers who do not want an invasion to ruin their game. Even for those not interested in PvP, it might be wise to leave this on. Players can accumulate accolades this way and the invader is usually at a disadvantage, even if they've hit the maximum level.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
