Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo's historical fantasy soulslike Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is crossing over with Lies of P and Nioh, according to the game's late 2023 roadmap. The developers have new content planned monthly, with the Lies of P and Nioh content arriving as part of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty's September and December updates.

Team Ninja released Wo Long in March. Set during the collapse of the Han Dynasty in late second-century China, players must save the dragon god Yinglong from the Taoist sorcerer Yu Ji. Like the developer's Nioh series, Wo Long combines historical settings and characters with mythology, folklore, and other fantasy elements. Despite facing numerous technical issues at launch, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty saw mostly positive reviews, with Metacritic scores of 79 on PC and Xbox Series X/S and 81 on PS5.

Team Ninja recently revealed Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty's development roadmap covering the second half of 2023. This includes the second and third paid DLCs, "Conqueror of Jiangdong" and "Upheaval in Jinxiang," in September and December. There are also five free updates introducing balance changes and new content. Wo Long's Lies of P collaboration also launches in September, roughly coinciding with the game's release. The Nioh crossover arrives two months later in November.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty roadmap

Wo Long previously crossed over with NetEase's free-to-play battle royale Naraka: Bladepoint, allowing Naraka players to unlock exclusive Wo Long-themed content. However, Wo Long director Hidehiko Nakajima confirmed that the upcoming crossovers will differ significantly from the earlier collaboration. He did not go into details about the upcoming crossovers but said that Team Ninja is working hard to make content that Nioh and Lies of P fans will appreciate.

The other free content begins with the launch of Boss Rush Part 2, and Wo Long is getting new Wizardry Spells in September and December. Meanwhile, the paid DLC introduces new story content, new weapon types, new missions, new difficulty levels, new enemies, new end-game content, and more.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty's first DLC, "Battle of Zhongyuan," depicted the rise of the warlord Cao Cao at the beginning of China's Three Kingdoms period. Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo haven't revealed much information about the two expansions. However, "Conqueror of Jiangdong" presumably refers to the warlord Sun Ce, who conquered the region in the 190s. Finally, “Upheaval in Jinxiang” might refer to the Xincheng Rebellion in 227, which was a major event of the early Three Kingdoms period.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
