A fan of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has created a portable razor for players to carry on Geralt’s adventure. Following the next-gen update for The Witcher 3, interest in CD Projekt RED’s video game adaptations of Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy novels has been rekindled.

The official next-gen patch for The Witcher 3 has seen numerous fixes since it was released last month but it is the PC modding community that consistently produced some interesting changes and improvements since the game was released back in 2015. The Nexus Mods page for the game currently boasts several thousand modifications to CD Projekt RED’s seminal RPG. These mods vary from smaller changes to large-scale graphical overhauls, designed to give PC players the ultimate experience.

Modder PaulR0013 has created a handy cut-throat razor that Geralt can store in his inventory and use at any point during his travels around The Continent. It is the perfect item to ensure the Witcher has a fresh, clean look without having to interrupt any important missions to track down a barber. Players must note that as the item is only a razor, it won’t stop Geralt’s stubble from growing out, but it is certainly helpful to those wanting to have a well-groomed face during battle.

This item may only be a small QOL update, but it will serve as a handy item as players head back to The Continent. The razor can be found just after the prologue when The Witcher arrives in Vizima, where a chest holding the item can be found in the barbershop before the meeting with Emhyr. Those folks more interested in finding the new hidden surprises within The Witcher 3’s latest update can manually add the razor via console command.

The Witcher 3 isn’t the only CD Projekt RED game that is getting adjustments from the community. Cyperpunk 2077 will be receiving a graphical overhaul thanks to one dedicated member, Halk Hogan. The HD Reworked pack for the futuristic RPG is set to release down the line and has the lofty aim of cleaning up some of the rougher textures found in the world. Previously, the modder produced a similar update for Geralt’s adventure, which became the most downloaded patch on Nexus, with over 5 million downloads.

Looking to the future, CD Projekt RED confirmed that the next entry in the Witcher saga is currently in development, along with a full remake of the original game. No release dates have been set but they are being built in Unreal Engine 5 as the company looks to pivot away from its own in-house engine.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
