While The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt fans may be seen cosplaying as lead character Geralt often, Ciri cosplays have become just as popular. One portrayal from Russian cosplayer Katssby truly nails the look of the princess, however, as Ciri from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is depicted brilliantly.

Rather than bringing the teenage Ciri from the novels and Netflix series to life, Katssby focused her attention on transforming into the game’s older version of Cirilla. Fully in control of her powers, this take on Ciri was well-received by fans, as it allowed both avid readers and newcomers to see a different kind of Ciri. Mature and wiser, yet still boasting distinct personality traits that set her apart from Geralt and Yennefer, this version of the dimension-hopping heroine has a story that is just as iconic as her look.

Kattsby, real name Sophie, has posted several photos of herself as the character online — all of which show her nailing the mannerisms of Ciri. One pose sees her holding the sword Zireael, which is noticed clearly by the hilt’s design. Received by Geralt in what most consider the game’s “good” ending, as it sees Ciri becoming a Witcher rather than dying or becoming an empress, adding this specific sword to the look shows some extreme attention to detail on the part of Kattsby.

Kattsby shares many other photos of the cosplay in another post, however, with these showing off the items not tied to a specific ending of The Witcher 3. Ciri’s iconic outfit, for example, is spot-on, and the cosplayer shows it off from several different angles. A loose beige shirt tied at the front looks like it came straight from the game, while the bracers on Ciri’s wrists and arms stand out as well. The leather armor around her waist looks great as well, and the dark leggings round out the outfit portion of this stellar costume.

As with any other Ciri cosplay, though, truly nailing the look of The Witcheress comes down to getting her makeup right. Fortunately, this cosplayer does a great job of this, with the heavy black eyeliner accentuating the character’s large green eyes. The trademark scar is seen on the cosplayer’s face as well, matching the shade of the one seen on the in-game version of Cirilla. Finally, Ciri’s iconic white hair is worn by Kattsby, with the same exact hairstyle being put on display for good measure.

While there have been some spectacular alternate Ciri designs shared by CD Projekt Red and other fans of the character, sometimes seeing the original looks done justice can be just as fun. From nailing the hair and makeup to the outfit and sword, Kattsby could not have been more successful with her cosplay.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
