For those Xbox fans who are still unable to get a hold of the console, Microsoft's Ultimate contest for June could prove to be the answer. Throughout June, subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be eligible to enter the competition, which will be decided by the number of achievements earned across certain Game Pass games.

June's contest continues to reward Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers with prizes for those who earn the most achievement scores in select games over the course of a month. Previously in April 2021, Microsoft's Ultimate contest offered Bethesda-themed controllers for those who could earn the most achievements in Bethesda titles on Game Pass.

Microsoft's "Ultimate contest' for June requires participants to have a console from either the Xbox One family of systems or the Xbox Series family. Those who wish to enter also need to be a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Those with both a console and a subscription can then begin participating in the contest by playing any game in the "Sports" collection on Game Pass. This contest offers Xbox fans still unable to get an Xbox Series X a chance to beat the scalpers, though the competition is likely to be rather fierce.

The contest started on June 1st, 2021, so anyone interested will need to get to work earning achievements. The competition will end at 1:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2021, so there is still time left to try and win one of the five Xbox Series X consoles being of as prizes. Despite Microsoft making it easier for people to buy its consoles, the devices are still proving to be hard to obtain, so this contest could be the difference between having an Xbox Series X soon rather than later.

Though it is worth mentioning that the rules only allow for one entry per person and that attempting to win using multiple accounts may result in the participant being banned from the contest. So even if fans are desperate, they should make sure to stick to the competition rules.

While Microsoft's Ultimate contest is a great chance for fans to be rewarded for playing on the company's systems and the reward for this month is definitely worthwhile, there may have been a more relevant prize that it could have been offered. Fans are quite rightly upset that the Xbox Pride Month Controller is not for sale but exclusively given to influencers. Seeing as Microsoft has offered specially designed controllers as prizes before, it would have made perfect sense to offer these controllers as prizes to Xbox players rather than gifts to influencers.
