For fans of games like Monster Hunter, in-game resources and items can be the difference between life and death thanks to their necessity for crafting better gear. Wild Hearts, a new hunting game from the Dynasty Warrior studio Omega Force, reinforces these principles through harvesting materials through the Kemono creatures that players hunt, as well as foraging materials within the large, open zones.

As expected, there are no shortage of resources to be found and there are a variety of things these materials can be used for outside of simply crafting better gear. Many require a particular Kemono creature to be killed and harvested, while others can be mined in the world, or simply earned by showing kindness like the Leporine Fruit from the Gladefruit Hare. Regardless of how the resources are found, players won't get too far without collecting them.

Where to Find Sakura Stone

Similar to the Demon Rock, Wild Hearts players will need to be at Chapter 3 at the bare minimum otherwise it won't actually spawn at all. The best place to start looking is at Harugasumi Way, a location players should be familiar with from early missions in the game. Naturally, the best place to explore for the Sakura Stone is near the massive cherry blossom tree to the north of the river, though it can spawn generally anywhere.

Specifically, players will want to head Northwest from the Tavern Ruins Dragon Pit and there's an area that is covered in mist. Look for flowers and the stone can commonly be found nearby. Alternatively, a location called the Southern Obsidian Cave also features plenty of ore inside, and while Sakura Stone isn't a guarantee, there is a high chance that 1 or 2 of the minerals in here will be.

Players will notice that the Sakura Stone looks a bit similar at first glance to another highly sought after resource called Lightstone. However, while that has a dark orange core inside a dark navy ore, Sakura Stones feature a red interior inside a black ore.

Sakura Stone Harvesting Tips

Sakura Stone will become highly sought after as players head towards the end game as many late game weapons and armor will require various amounts to craft. So, one of the more effective farming methods is to use a Tsukumo Ore Shrine.

After defeating Kemono monsters, players will start earning orbs that can be used to improve and unlock various Karakuri techniques. For players who want to mine resources without being so hands-on in the process, they should aim to unlock a specific Dragon Karakuri called a Tsukumo Ore Shrine which can be deployed at a campsite or Dragon Pit. Using this item in a zone will automatically harvest the local ores in the area, with up to five being collected at a time. Unfortunately, the ores collected are random, so it doesn't guarantee that a Sakura Stone will appear often, but this method allows players to continue exploring without having to actively search for specific minerals at the same time.

Wild Hearts is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
