Before Monster Hunter, chasing giant mutant dinosaurs with overly long swords seemed like nothing but a new Shonen anime excerpt. But thanks to Capcom’s monster-hunting AAA, games like Wild Hearts have emerged, reviving the genre with fresh action.
That’s something all action-adventure lovers can appreciate. But the two games’ resemblance raises a question: How long is Wild Hearts? Is it as long as other triple-A monster-hunting games? This guide has the answers.

On average, it takes 41 hours to beat Wild Hearts. But there are multiple side quests aside from the five main chapters. So, completing the game takes longer—49 hours and a half, to be accurate.
40 to 50 hours of gameplay is not too long for a triple-A action adventure. But it’s enough to make the $69.99 price worth it. The developer, Omega Force, is better known for the Dynasty Warriors franchise, which is known for long campaigns. But they’ve played it safe with Wild Hearts, offering only a standard playthrough length.
What’s the fastest players can beat Wild Hearts?
There are currently no speedrun records for beating Wild Hearts. But average players can complete the campaign in 30 to 35 hours. That seems to be the fastest playthrough. Contrarily, leisure-style fans can engage with the game for up to 80–90 hours.

It takes at least 128 hours to complete Wild Hearts. That includes unlocking 48 achievements and finding all collectibles.
How Long Is Wild Hearts DLC?
Omega Force has promised free DLCs that will include new Kemono—Wild Hearts monsters. But considering the average battle lengths in the main game, the expansions are expected to add at least 4–5 hours of extra gameplay. According to the developers, there will be dangerously unknown monsters in Volatile Kemono, and a new peer-to-peer multiplayer will allow players to take down enemies together.

Story-wise, Wild Hearts is almost as long as Monster HunterWorld. Both game fall in the 40-50-hour range. But Monster Hunter has a much more extensive NG+, taking at least 402 hours to complete. Whereas Wild Hearts’ completionist stat is achieved in about 130 hours.
It seems like EA has targeted achieving standard, risk-free gameplay with manageable quest lines—as opposed to something as ambitious as Monster Hunter Generation Ultimate with a massive 700-hour exploration.
