Marvel Studios' upcoming episode of its ongoing What If...? series has got a new poster that shows Ultron and Vision sharing the same body, while also wielding the Infinity Stones.

What if...? is an animated show based on the Marvel comic book series of the same name, which asks/answers questions about how the MCU might have unfolded had key events in the films played out differently. Some of the popular episodes of What If...? include the zombie episode, which reimagined the Marvel Zombies comic book storyline with MCU heroes.

The eighth episode of What If...? will arrive this Wednesday and sees the return of Ultron. Those who remember the villain will know that he was defeated in the second Avengers film despite being a well-known and powerful villain in the comics. He's often a foil who consistently returns in the comic books, so hardcore fans were disappointed to see him gone after one film. However, the new What If...? poster offers fans a glimpse of what Ultron might have looked like had his plan to transfer himself into Vision's body succeded.

As the poster indicates, the next episode of What If...? (titled "What If... Ultron Won?") will show Ultron and Vision occupying the same body. The robotic villain can also be seen with the Infinity Stones implanted on his chest. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, the titular villain crafted Vision's vibranium body for his own purpose, only for the Avengers to steal it and upload Jarvis into the android, thus creating Vision. Had Ulton succeded, he likely would have been unstoppable, and the next episode of What If...? will seemingly showcase that grim scenario.

Had Ultron's plan gone through, it's hard to believe that the Avengers would still be living considering how difficult of an enemy he was prior to Vision's body coming into the fold. The new body would've given him more powers, armor, and enhancements that not many heroes can stop.

Marvel Studios' adaptations alter some of the original storylines from the comics in order to bring a fresh take and perspective on the iconic characters. The Civil War storyline, for example, had plenty of death in the comic book version, but the movie wasn't able to directly adapt that arc because it would affect the upcoming Avengers films. The benefit of What If...? is that Marvel Studios can tell all kinds of stories without worrying about how they might affect the main MCU films.

What If...? premieres new episodes on Wednesday on Disney Plus.
