Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is a third-person action game by Cyanide. Players take on the role of Caharl, a werewolf who has returned to his pack after a five-year absence to assist them against a terrifyingly well-armed Oil Company, Endron.

Caharl's journey in Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood can have two different endings, depending on the main character's choice during the final mission of the game. In order to achieve the best ending possible, there's a specific route that players must follow. This guide will help players follow that route and get Caharl his good ending.

The Point of No Return

In order to reach the point at which an ending can be chosen, players must first reach the final level of the game: "Endron's Oil Rig." In this stage, Caharl storms the Endron Oil Rig to finish the fight and find the captured members of his pack. This level is no simple affair, featuring a number of difficult enemies including a boss encounter against a pair of Black Spiral Dancers, deadly fellow werewolves who serve an entity known as the Wyrm.

Whether players adopt a stealthy approach or not, they will eventually need to face the Black Spiral Dancers, who move around their boss arena with tremendous speed while striking Caharl with frenzy attacks. Since the survivor will heal and enrage when one of them is killed, players should eliminate the largest of the two first. The smaller one, while still dangerous once enraged, is easier to handle during the second phase.

Of course, there is still another threat to face before an ending can be reached. After defeating the Black Spiral Dancers, players must progress further into the dam to find Caharl's daughter, Aedana.

A Tragic Reunion

Unfortunately, Aedana is past the point of saving, having been corrupted into a horrific scorpion-like creature by the Wyrm. Facing Aedana is, despite the emotional stakes, easier than the fight with the Black Spiral Dancers, though still not an easy encounter. Aedana has a particularly tricky tail spike attack, in which she plants her tail into the ground, causing spikes to erupt. This attack has two different patterns. In one, the spikes first appear immediately surrounding Aedana in a circle and then in a larger circle further out; in the other, the spikes appear in a wave in front of her. Another attack to watch for is her pounce attack, where she hunches over briefly before leaping and attacking with her tentacles.

Aedana's spike attacks also grow more dangerous as the fight progresses, with the number of spikes and the area they cover increasing as her health decreases. When the circular pattern is used, players can dash in after the first wave to dodge the second while getting close enough to attack. Once Aedana is defeated, the player will finally be in position to choose an ending for this story.

Savior or Avenger

With all the prep work done, Caharl is provided with one final choice. He can finally catch the one behind all of this and avenge his daughter and all the others they've killed. Alternatively, he can save his packmate Ava and the members of her Activist group, who have been assisting Caharl and the clan throughout the game.

Choosing to go after Wadkins and get vengeance will result in a bad ending. In this scenario, Caharl succeeds at stopping Endron and getting revenge, but is left completely alone in the end. Alternatively, players seeking the good ending should go to rescue Ava and the Activists instead.

Rescuing the activists results in ending where Caharl is not left alone; he has his packmate and supporters with him. Endron's scheme is thwarted, but Wadkins escapes, and it is implied that he plans to return. Nonetheless, this is the best of the endings available to players in Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is available now for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
