Jenna Ortega is perfectly cast as the main character in Netflix's hit TV series Wednesday, and she goes on a wild ride in season 1's eight episodes. From reluctantly bonding with her sweet roommate Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) to wondering who the monster is in the woods behind her new school Nevermore, the character tries to handle everything alone while realizing that she just might need other people after all. Ortega's strong acting, the fantastic cast of characters, and classic Addams Family characters like Thing are other reasons why the show works so well. While the show has gotten some criticism for not sticking super closely to its source material, the differences do make it fun.

Now that there will be a season 2 of the series, there are some big questions that need to be answered, from that cliffhanger season 1 ending to the relationships that Wednesday has formed while attending this unique school. Season 2 is sure to be just as thrilling and hilarious as the first episodes as the show has a smart, mysterious tone that never lets up.

Will Nevermore Be The Same Again?

The outside of the school Nevermore in Wednesday

Wednesday shows that IP can be a crutch as the show does leave some Addams Family fans wondering why the series didn't include more elements that they love. But the addition of Nevermore is a smart one. It's a cool and creative setting that not only looks great, as Wednesday and Enid's room is a fun study in color contrasts but also intriguing since it's close to woods where a monster has been attacking people. Now that Wednesday is going back home while the school is closed, that brings up whether the school community can recover from this terrifying situation.

Christina Ricci's Wednesday character Marilyn Thornhill is revealed to be dangerous in the season 1 finale, and while she has been killed, it's likely that the effects of her evil plan will be felt when the school opens again. Will the students feel safe here? Will a new teacher replace her? What will a new Nevermore look like?

Who Is Texting And Watching Wednesday?

The season 1 finale ends with Wednesday driving away from Nevermore and receiving a creepy text message. Season 2 definitely needs to answer who is texting this character and why. While sometimes cliffhangers can be cliched or boring, this one works. It suggests that Wednesday is not safe from danger and that she can't rest for even one moment as something strange is still happening at Nevermore.

This is also a great storyline because Ortega's character is intelligent and likes to observe the world around her, and she seems to thrive when she can piece facts together and try to solve a mystery. She is one of the best horror TV characters because she is witty, quick on her feet, and ready to spring into action at any given moment.

What Will Happen To Tyler?

Tyler and Wednesday talking in Wednesday

In the season 1 finale "A Murder of Woes," Tyler is revealed as the CGI monster on Wednesday who has been hiding in the woods and attacking people. This is shocking news, especially given the fact that Wednesday and Tyler had just kissed and seemed like they were going to date. She is not only surprised that she would care about someone, but she can't believe that she would be attracted to a literal creature.

Season 2 needs to answer what happens to Tyler. Will he stay in jail? Will he be killed? Will he remain in the area and pretend that he's going to be good while proving another threat to Nevermore and the surrounding area? There are definitely many things that are up in the air here and season 2 will have to follow the next thread of this mystery.

Will Wednesday And Enid Become Closer Friends?

Wednesday Fan Reveals Enid’s Hidden Real-World Werewolf Joke

Enid is one of the best characters on Wednesday and she does her best to support Ortega's character throughout season 1, even when she isn't sure what is going on or if she should be worried. She is sweet, fashionable, loyal, and friendly, and while these might not be qualities that Wednesday cares about, the two do bond by the end of the season.

It will be interesting to see how the characters connect with each other in season 2, and that brings up whether they will become even closer. Wednesday holds Enid at arm's length for a while as she isn't used to having friends and she prefers to handle life's problems on her own. But Enid is charming and works her way into the black heart that Wednesday is so proud of having. It would be fun to see these two characters solving season 2's mystery together.
