Warner Bros’ gaming division has had a mixed output over the past year or so. Hogwarts Legacy became one of the highest-selling games of 2023, and Mortal Kombat 1 was quickly hailed as an excellent installment in the long-running fighting franchise. On the other hand, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League ultimately fell short of Warner Bros Discovery’s expectations at the beginning of this year.

Meanwhile, WB Games Montreal has had its own wave of mixed success through various licensed projects over the years. After building on Rocksteady’s Arkhamverse in 2013’s Batman: Arkham Origins, WB Games Montreal branched out into its own DC-based continuity with Gotham Knights, a more team-centric title that shifted the spotlight toward Batman’s former sidekicks as they banded together to defend Gotham City following their mentor’s death. The game ultimately proved divisive, though players did enjoy the idea of roaming the crime-plagued city with their friends in online co-op.

WB Montreal Could Be Working On Another DC Game
