After a delay and then a long period of relative silence, Ubisoft finally pulled the curtain back on Watch Dogs Legion at its event this past weekend. Fans saw tons of new gameplay, a very stylish trailer, learned a lot more about the open world game, as well as its new October 29 release date. As is tradition with any Ubisoft game these days, Legion features a number of editions players can purchase as well as a season pass which grants access to an interesting perk.

On the official Watch Dogs Legion website, Ubisoft revealed numerous editions of the game from the standard title, UPlay+ Edition, Gold Edition, and the Ultimate Edition. Every version of the game besides standard comes with a Season Pass which includes 4 unique heroes, a special skin for vehicles, extra side missions, and a new story expansion. However, the final perk of purchasing the season pass is access to the Complete Edition of the very first Watch Dogs game.

Finally, the Collector's Edition comes with everything listed above as well as a ton of extra goodies. More physical merchandise includes the double-sided propaganda poster, a set of three stickers, a collector's box, and a steelbook case for the game.

With Watch Dogs Legion and the Season Pass purchased, players will have managed to collect the entire series. Watch Dogs 2, a game which was originally slated to be a reward for watching the Ubisoft Forward event this weekend is simply being handed out to everyone for free. The stream had multiple issues with viewers not being able to log into their UPlay account, ruining the chances at rewards which were all based on the amount of time watched. Without a resolution, Ubisoft made the call to give them out free of charge.

With the game now releasing at the end of October, there are likely some fans who made be a bit hesitant to pick up a copy with the prospect of the next generation of consoles launching very likely a few weeks later. Thankfully, at least on the Xbox side of things, Phil Spencer was on hand to confirm that Ubisoft is using the Smart Delivery system with Watch Dogs Legion, which will give all Xbox One owners free access to the Xbox Series X version of the game once it launches. The next gen version also takes advantage of DirectX Raytracing to give London a more immersive look and feel.
