Watch Dogs Legion released in October and Ubisoft continues to bring content to the cross-generational title, but it recently updated the official roadmap for the game. The latest patch for Watch Dogs Legion was supposed to release this month, but it has been pushed back to give the team some extra time.

Ubisoft has listened to the Watch Dogs Legion community and it will be bringing more quality of life changes to Update 4.5 than the initial roadmap planned for. One of the biggest changes coming to Watch Dogs Legion with the next update is a 60 FPS performance mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Ubisoft has referenced Watch Dogs Legion fan feedback and bug reports in order to round out some of the bugs in the game, including new ones introduced by update 4.0. The next big patch for Watch Dogs Legion will be title update 4.5, which Ubisoft is aiming to release on June 1. While the developers initially planned to release the update in late May, Ubisoft needed additional time to smooth all of the changes out. On top of the 60 FPS performance mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, these next-gen consoles will soon be able to connect with other consoles in the same console family. This will allow PS4 players to group up with PS5 players, and Xbox One players with Xbox Series X/S players and vice versa.

As a result of the roadmap update, Ubisoft has also decided to move both the Invasion and Extraction PVP modes to the August update for Watch Dogs Legion. The developers say that this shift was made in order to invest more time into solid public and private matchmaking and provide a smooth PvP experience. Ubisoft also confirmed in the roadmap update for Watch Dogs Legion that the "Bloodline" story DLC will be coming soon. Update 5.0 will bring the new story expansion in addition to Aiden Pearce and Wrench joining the main game's roster. These two new playable characters will allow Watch Dogs Legion fans to play the entire campaign of the latest title in the series with the two heroes that kicked things off.

While this updated Watch Dogs Legion roadmap pushes back a few things that players have been looking forward to, Ubisoft has made an important choice in fixing bugs and bringing more quality of life changes first. Some players may be disappointed to wait a little longer for the Bloodline DLC and others waiting until August for Invasion and Extraction, but fans of both PvE and PvP may appreciate the bug fixes coming with Update 4.5.

Watch Dogs Legion is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
