Upon encountering Gary “NaCl” Wolfe at Ranger HQ, Wasteland 3 players can pickup a sidequest called Wolfe's Hunt that will send them to track down and eliminate various synths. The first of these synths, which happens to be named October-11,  is said to be hiding in Downtown Colorado Springs, and this Wasteland 3 guide will help players pinpoint its exact location and better understand the choices that are available to them after the target is found.

To locate synth October-11, Wasteland 3 players should first head to the Patriarch's Museum in Downtown Colorado Springs. Tucked away in one of the corners of this building fans will find a group of animatronics, and there are two ways to proceed once these machines are discovered.

The first option is to attack one of the animatronics. This will cause October-11 to reveal itself, and fans simply need to win the fight against the machines, loot the target's corpse, and return to Wolfe to advance this Wasteland 3 quest.

Alternatively, players that have four Wasteland 3 skill points in Nerd Stuff can click on each of the animatronics until a dialogue is initiated. When this is done, fans should choose to use their radio to create feedback on the synth's broadcast frequency, as this will identify October-11. At this point, players can pursue several lines of questioning with the synth, but they will ultimately need to decide if they wish to let it go or destroy it while it is incapacitated.

If a fan chooses to let October-11 go, then Wolfe and his crew will opt to leave Ranger HQ. This means that players will not be able to continue the Wolfe's Hunt sidequest, and as a fan proceeds through the world of Wasteland 3 they will discover that October-11 has killed again.

On the other side of things, if the player chooses to destroy October-11 then they will promptly dispatch it, without the full-scale battle associated with outright attacking the animatronics, and they can then loot its head and return to Wolfe. This will allow fans to continue through the Wolfe's Hunt quest line, and the next step will require that they head to Denver in this new isometric RPG.

Many Wasteland 3 reviews have praised the game for giving players meaningful choices, and while the decision of what to do with October-11 does not have a significant impact, it does matter. Very likely, most fans will ultimately decide to destroy the synth and continue Wolfe's quest, but it is nice that there is an alternative option available.

Wasteland 3 is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
