This article contains spoilers for WarioWare: Move It.Although the artistic and wacky concept of WarioWare's microgames was quick to captivate an audience due to their uniqueness, the sheer number of Easter eggs a number of the little bite-sized experiences had was enough to make players laugh and help the microgames stay memorable. One character, 9-Volt, was known for having microgames solely based on other Nintendo games, and he returns for WarioWare: Move It.

Over the years, what once was a grab bag on whether a certain character may have one or two Nintendo-based microgames in it, while 9-Volt was guaranteed, now these special references can more or less only be found in the little tyke's specific section of the game. This is due to the fact that these Nintendo microgames are such a staple to the series that the developers know WarioWare fans see these particular sections as a prominent highlight. Due to that, 9-Volt in WarioWare: Move It fails to disappoint as his story is filled with references galore.

WarioWare: Move It Saves 9-Volt as the Best For Last

Just as the other microgames did before 9-Volt, as the Nintendo-themed stage sits as the last obstacle before the final Remix section in WarioWare: Move It, the many challenges take advantage of the Form poses that players will make to experience many iconic games in a new, bite-sized way. Players will have to stay still to avoid dropping GBA cartridges, scale up ropes and vines as Donkey Kong Jr., move their hand to try and catch a ring from Fire Emblem Engage, and many more.

It's made clear that 9-Volt's mini-games are meant to take advantage of every Form in the game as it serves as the last set of microgames players can unlock before the final bout with Volcano Wario. On top of that, the Easter egg games are most certainly meant to be a reward for players to look forward to as 9-Volt's section gets a special "Nintendo" designation when selected on the Story map.

After many players have likely wrestled with understanding Wario Ware: Move It and its many poses and actions, Nintendo fans will be quickly rewarded when they get to 9-Volt's section as so many of the games feature simple cues that any player of the titles in question would recognize. Others are more simplistic microgames just with Nintendo-themed wrapping, but they'll still get a laugh and smile out of fans.

The icing on the cake for the section is the Super Mario 64 DS Boss Stage that puts players in control of Mario on Princess Peach's Secret Slide, but with their arms in the "Scale" form as the way to control the plumber. It brings back an iconic piece of early player frustration and pairs it with motion controls, which seems to be a bit of a fun joke in itself that still ends up being rather enjoyable to play.

Among the 21 microgames that can be discovered in 9-Volt's stage, the excitement is almost endless as one game in particular, Ultra Scope, asks players to find one of the Mario Question Mark Blocks on a shelf. If players discover it with some time left, the box will open up with a random item from Nintendo's lengthy history. All in all, compared to how the previous story segments throw one challenge after another at players to figure out in seconds flat, 9-Volt's familiarity for Nintendo fans is a breath of fresh air that keeps players laughing, moving, and having plenty of fun.

Players will have to stay still to avoid dropping GBA cartridges, scale up ropes and vines as Donkey Kong Jr., move their hand to try and catch a ring from Fire Emblem Engage, and many more.

WarioWare: Move It is available now for Nintendo Switch.
