The premium currency in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is called the Aquila. Aquilas represent the currency that most gamers will recognize as requiring a credit card. That is, of course, one way to get this currency, but the game has a means for players who don't want to spend real money to earn the game's best equipment.
To get some Aquilas in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, players will need to know exactly what to do. There is an off-chance they can earn some randomly but a few pieces here or there aren't going to earn any pieces in a timely manner.
Earning Aquilas In-Game
Get Trust To Level 11
The main way players can earn Aquilas is by doing contracts, but players can't fulfill these contracts until they get to Trust level 11. So do lots of missions and enjoy the multitude of voice lines in the meantime.
Players should make this a priority since, unlike the way other Warhammer games have worked, there are non-cosmetic upgrades to buy. As should be expected, these premium items are far superior to the ones offered at the in-game cash shop.
Visit Sire Melk's Requisitorium
Before reaching the areas where the missions are, check out the two employees using a green light to illuminate the area. This is Sire Melk's Requisitorium, the place where players both achieve and cash in on their Aquilas.
They offer contracts as well as a frequently updated shop that contains items that demand Aquilas.
Managing Contracts
Players can, of course, simply take the contracts that are offered. Or they can instead swap them out at the cost of some of the normal currency.
Be warned that the next task is also selected at random. But sometimes there are tasks that are simply too tedious to try and accomplish, especially if they must be accomplished by an operative that isn't particularly enjoyable and can't use automatic weapons. Or if they require standing in one place and blocking for an obscene amount of time.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is available now for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
