Warframe fans have known that the PlayStation 5 version of the game is coming soon, since Digital Extremes recently announced that it would be launching this year, which is almost over. Since then, however, there’s been the lingering question of exactly when it will arrive. The answer, it turns out, is in just a few days.

Digital Extremes has finally set a date for the PS5 launch, announcing today that the next-gen version of Warframe will be available on Sony’s console this Thursday, November 26. Unfortunately for Xbox fans, the developer didn’t provide an ETA for when the game will come to the Xbox Series X, only saying that it will follow “soon.”

Today’s announcement mostly recaps what Digital Extremes revealed earlier this month. In addition to upgraded visuals, 4K/60fps performance, improved load times, and cross-play with PS4 players, the PS5 version will utilize the console’s Activities system to allow players to keep track of trophies and jump into challenges without having to boot up the rest of the game. Meanwhile, the game will use the DualSense’s adaptive triggers to convey the impact of firing weapons, and Digital Extremes has plans to add haptic-based features that will let players feel the different environments they’re moving through via the controller.

It’s been seven years since Warframe first came to consoles as a PS4 launch title, and it’s grown a lot since then. As Digital Extremes pointed out, the game now boasts 18 planets, three open worlds, 30 quests, and 44 Warframes, after starting out with just a single titleset and four Warframes. If the next-gen ports and recent updates are any indication, that growth isn’t likely to slow down anytime soon.

Warframe is free-to-play for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, and will be available on November 26 for PS5 and “soon” for Xbox Series X.
