Warframe's latest frame, Caliban, is a fearsome one. Released with Warframe's The New War update, this crowd control sentient hybrid warframe is able to completely strip groups of enemies of their shields.

Like most of Warframe's frames, getting Caliban is going to be something of an involved process. As expected from a loot shooter, crafting each individual part will require players to collect plenty of resources and credits.

New players shouldn't expect to get a Caliban soon after starting. This is definitely one of Warframe's late-game frames, and newbies should set their sights on relatively more accessible frames, like Rhino or Ivara.

Warframe The New War

Pre-Conditions for Earning Caliban

Before the player can even think of searching for Caliban, they need to complete Warframe's The New War questline. This is the latest main story quest, and takes place where the Prelude to War storyline left off, seeing Warframe's various factions team up against the Sentient army.

This quest line doesn't directly give the frame blueprints, however. It just unlocks the next step in the process.

Bounty Hunting for Caliban Parts

Completing The New War unlocks Narmer bounties on the Plains of Eidolon and Orb Vallis. These function like regular bounties, but the enemies have been replaced by more difficult Narmer variants.

Narmer bounties are somewhat time-limited, although not in the same way that Warframe's void trader is time-limited. It all depends on the time of day. Narmer bounties appear on the Plains of Eidolon during the map's day period, and appear on Orb Vallis during Plains of Eidolon's night period.

Players can earn Caliban component parts from these bounties. That being said, like the rest of the bounties, the reward is semi-randomized from set pools. It may take more than one attempt to get the desired parts.

Caliban Component Recipies

After getting the Caliban blueprints, there's still the issue of collecting the parts and actually crafting them. Each part's ingredients are listed below:

Caliban Neutropics:

  • 15,000 Credits
  • 3 Anomaly Shards
  • 12 Narmer Isoplasts
  • 10 Neural Sensors
  • 20 Tralok Eyes

Caliban Chassis:

  • 15,000 credits
  • 3 Anomaly Shards
  • 16 Narmer Isoplasts
  • 20 Mortus Horns
  • 100 Hespazym Alloy

Caliban Systems:

  • 15,000 Credits
  • 3 Anomaly Shards
  • 12 Narmer Isoplasts
  • 30 Breath of the Eidolon
  • 30 Hexenon

Once they have crafted all the pieces, players can buy Caliban's overall blueprint from the marketplace, and combine each component with 12 Orokin cells and 25,000 credits to finish their new warframe.

Warframe is available now for Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
