Warframe may be seven years old now, but that isn’t stopping Digital Extremes from continuing to provide some substantial updates for its free-to-play sci-fi shooter. Just this summer, it came out with Warframe’s Heart of Deimos expansion which introduced a brand new open-world area to explore, and now it’s followed that up this weekend with the next big update, Deimos: Arcana.

The new update introduces plenty of new content for players to discover while wandering through the Cambion Drift. There are new Isolation Vaults to take on and new Infested-themed weapons to unlock, and players can now acquire a brand new Necramech known as Bonewidow. Described as a “robust front-line fighter,” it comes armed with a giant sword and shield, as well as a range of abilities including a meathook for grabbing and hurling enemies.

Digital Extremes has introduced a few noticeable quality-of-life improvements too. The developer made specific mention of Warframe’s glaives, which have been reworked to make them more powerful and intuitive to use. Also, in addition to changing the Vome/Fass Cycle reset so that it no longer affects Isolation Vault bounties, Digital Extremes has made it so high-quality Conservation captures will reward up to three times more tags.

These are just a few of the additions and changes that the Deimos: Arcana update brings to the game, and with all of the new stuff they can now do and find in the Cambion Drift, players will have plenty to keep them occupied while they wait for Warframe’s next-gen ports to finally arrive.

Warframe is free-to-play for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a PS5 version set to launch this year followed by a Xbox Series X version at a later date.
