How to Defeat Raene Wolfrunner

To kill Raene Wolfrunner, players will need to attack her between each Huntress push. Raene will periodically summon three Huntresses, which attack from the northwest part of the map. Defeating these troops will give players enough time to deal with the actual boss, Raene, and beat the mission.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to doing so:

Defeat the First Huntress Ambush

At the beginning of the mission, deploy affordable yet sturdy units such as Quilboar or Earth Elemental on the eastern side of the base. Additionally, station a few defensive units like Plague Farmer on the western side to protect against Alliance Footmen.

Capture the Meeting Stone

Once the Huntresses are downed, place the fastest units on the edge of the base. These troops should aim to capture the Meeting Stone in the middle, creating a frontline for upcoming ambushes.

World of Warcraft players already know about the Meeting Stones. These summon points should be taken over quickly to advance on the map.

Defeat the Second Huntress Attack

Use the Meeting Stone to keep the Huntresses back and kill them before they approach. Airborne Minis like Griffin Rider and SAFE Pilot are excellent options for this phase.

Destroy the Western Tower

After the second Huntress attack, players will need to take over the tower on the left. For this, utilize Hoggers and Darkspear Trolls—and support them with Griffin Riders.

Attack Raene Wolfrunner with Heavy Troops

When the tower is captured, play heavy units like Abomination, Drake, and Flamwaker on the western flank. Just before they approach the boss, hit Raene Wolfrunner with a SAFE Pilot to guarantee her defeat.

Note that she might initiate the third and final Huntress attack before going down. Therefore, players are advised to have defensive units in the base.

Other Good Units for the Raene Wolfrunner Mission

Since Raene and her troops lack proper air defense, any air-to-ground units would suffice. However, some of the best choices are Ghouls, Gargoyles, Meat Trucks, and Dragons.
