Without a doubt, plenty of Blizzard Entertainment fans are excited by all of the announcements coming out of BlizzCon 2018, as there's a fresh Hearthstone expansion on the way, a new hero for Overwatch, the mobile game Diablo: Immortal, and more. Among these big reveals is another title that should excite players, with Blizzard having unveiled its plans to release Warcraft 3: Reforged, which is a full HD remaster of the 2002 original.

According to Blizzard, Warcraft 3: Reforged will include totally remodeled characters and environments, as well as all of the content from Reign of Chaos and its expansion, The Frozen Throne. What's more is that it will also bring back the modding World Editor tool .Those jazzed for the release can get a look at its cinematic trailer via the link in the tweet below, and they should expect the remastered title to drop at some point in 2019.

Those attending BlizzCon 2018 will be able play a demo of Warcraft 3: Reforged now–the "Cull of Stratholme" mission, to be exact– with Blizzard having made the game accessible on the show floor at the convention this year. Additionally, fans can pre-order the title now, with the publisher and developer offering a standard version and the Spoils Edition, the latter of which unlocks special items in other Blizzard-branded games.

All things considered, while it's not the much-coveted Warcraft 4 that many have been waiting for, its safe to presume that a large number of fans of the 2002 iteration and newcomers alike will secure themselves a copy of Warcraft 3: Reforged ahead of its launch. With any luck, Blizzard will have the title ready in the first quarter of 2019, but we will have to wait and see when the publisher and developer decides the remastered version of the RTS classic should officially become available to play.

Warcraft 3: Reforged is set to launch at some point in 2019 for PC.
