Announced via the PlayStation Blog, Oddboy and M Theory's Wanderer is a new time-traveling PSVR game that tasks players with tackling intricate puzzles and exploring historical eras. Its announcement comes with a stunning teaser and array of details thanks to its Executive Producer Sam Ramlu, including that the game is aiming to hit Sony's digital marketplace this Summer.

The trailer mostly focuses on setting up the game's story, which will see protagonist Asher Neumann discover a mysterious artifact belonging to his grandfather that allows him to travel back in time. To prevent an apocalyptic event, Neumann must visit various historical eras, with the trailer showing him breaking into ancient temples, playing the drums with a 60s band in front of a massive crowd, and aiding Nikola Tesla in his experiments.

According to Ramlu, the game will mostly be a blend of escape room style puzzles and intense action sequences, seemingly topped off with a mysterious story filled with twists and turns. Along the way, players will visit a wide variety of time periods, with the producer teasing they'll be cracking codes in WW2 and defending kings in the 1500s. It looks to be a fun VR adventure that will come loaded with spectacle and brain-teasing puzzles.

Wanderer isn't the only VR game set to make its debut later this year, with Layers of Fear's virtual reality port coming this month and Arizona Sunshine dev Vertigo Games launching After The Fall this Summer. With so many great virtual reality experiences making their way to PC and consoles, it's clear VR continues to offer some of gaming's most experimental experiences.

Wanderer is slated to launch on PSVR this Summer.
