There are only three more episodes of WandaVision and a behind-the-scenes documentary remaining, with storylines to tie up and many questions unanswered. This morning, Disney Plus released a scene from tomorrow’s episode of WandaVision and this brief scene reveals quite a bit of information while also raising new questions.

As each episode so far has played homage to a previous decade of television, this clip offers the first taste of a take on a 2000s aesthetic. As always, the set decoration is on point and very well captures an early aughts house. ABC’s Modern Family seems to be the reference point for the editing, as the WandaVision scene mimics its single-camera style and the confessional mockumentary interview segments.

Wanda explaining that she plans to take a “quarantine-style staycation” is definitely the kind of thing you would hear on a show like Modern Family and it obviously has a different meaning now. Of course, in this context, Wanda is taking the "staycation" as a self-imposed "punishment" for expanding the border of the sitcom universe she curiously admits she created, despite previously claiming she has no idea how the world started. It also appears Wanda is quite comfortable discussing her abilities now after spending a lot of time and effort trying to keep them secret.

Billy then tells his mom that his head feels weird and that it’s “really noisy.” In episode six of WandaVision, we saw Billy use his telekinetic powers for the first time to track Vision. It seems there is a lot going on some astral plane that Billy is sensing, or perhaps he has some things to learn about controlling his new powers.

Tommy and Billy’s video game controllers quickly morph into Gamecube controllers, then Atari controllers, and then hands of UNO cards. There seems to be some kind of impermanence to objects, which might be related to the way that Wanda alters objects from the outside world, such as Monica’s bulletproof vest, into something that fits her fantasy world of Westview. Or perhaps time in Westview is unstable, which is more likely seeing as these gaming components are from different decades. Could this be linked to the way the people of Westview have been moving forward decades at a time?

As WandaVision moves towards what should be an action-packed finale, episode seven should raise the stakes. This clip might hint that the end could have a lot to do with the way Wanda’s fantasy of Westview has distorted time.

WandaVision is now available on Disney Plus.
