WandaVision might be over, but the stars of the Disney Plus series have been talking about the ramifications of the show on the greater MCU. In fact, Elizabeth Olsen recently shed some light on Wanda's powers and what those abilities mean moving forward.

It's believed that WandaVision, like several of the other Disney Plus programs, is setting up future Marvel movies. It's already been confirmed that Wanda is going to be appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It appears that in preparation for that film, Olsen divulged that the Scarlet Witch has powers viewers haven't seen yet, but will come in handy in the movie.

Talking about her WandaVision character on The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast, the actress ran through a number of things she can do. Some of those were already abilities fans of the MCU knew about. Olsen said Wanda had a few fun powers like telekinesis and the ability to travel between universes. Not long after talking about that particular power, the actor trailed off, apparently realizing she'd just spilled the beans on something.

WandaVision

It's been MCU canon for a while now that Wanda Maximoff is the most powerful Avenger. She was almost able to take Thanos down on her own, twice. Both times, outside interference was the only thing that stopped her from beating the Mad Titan. She's said to be even more powerful now that she's gotten her hands on the Darkhold book in WandaVision. However, the ability to travel between universes is not something Wanda has done on screen.

It's possible Disney Plus viewers would have gotten to see that power if Marvel had continued with its original plan for WandaVision. At one point, Doctor Strange was supposed to make a cameo. In the end, it was decided that would be one cameo too many for the rather short series. It's even possible Marvel wanted to keep that power under wraps until Wanda did indeed appear in Multiverse of Madness.

Those in the Marvel fanbase believe Wanda's ability to tear open holes in universes will be instrumental to her character moving forward. It's thought the Scarlet Witch is going to begin a hunt for her children, Tommy and Billy. It appears that part of her story is that she's going to be looking for the real versions of them that exist in another reality. Theories have WandaVision's main character carrying out this hunt in both Multiverse of Madness and the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home.

WandaVision is now available on Disney Plus.
