After months of waiting, Disney has finally revealed its reopening plans for Walt Disney World. These plans were sent to the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force for review, meaning they aren't set in stone, but if approved would see the park begin reopening on July 11th.

Of course, Disney's reopening process will be a multistage one. The plan proposes that July 11th will see the opening of Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, while the other two Disney parks, Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, will wait to reopen until the 15th.

Since Disney's parks originally closed on March 15th, a July 15th reopening would be exactly four months that the park has been shut down, which is simply unheard of until now. That said, for those feeling like four months was too long to wait, there were some that believed the parks wouldn't reopen until sometime next year.

There will be new rules for a while after the opening according to the plan as well, such as enforcement of masks, mandatory temperature checks, limited capacity, and virtual queues. Those last two could actually enhance guest experience, as though getting tickets will certainly be tough, those guests that manage it will have a much less crowded park than they are used to.
