Although he's set to face off against Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again, Vincent D'Onofrio hopes Kingpin will get his chance against Tom Holland's Spider-Man.Set to debut sometime in 2024, Daredevil: Born Again will see the return of D'Onofrio's Kingpin. This won’t be Kingpin's first appearance in the MCU - he appeared in Hawkeye episode 6 after the reveal that he’d been involved with the attempts on Hawkeye's life. While his brief cameo in the series didn’t guarantee further involvement in the official MCU continuity, the appearance of Charlie Cox's Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law caused fans to suspect the two characters might return to face each other in Hell's Kitchen again.RELATED: Spider-Man 2 Miles Morales Figure Hints At The MultiverseWhile he’s certainly excited to be working on another Daredevil project, it sounds like D'Onofrio doesn’t want to stop there. During GalaxyCon in Raleigh, North Carolina, D'Onofrio expressed his enthusiasm about his Kingpin finally getting a shot at Spider-Man, saying, "Eventually, I will beat Spider-Man's ass." At GalaxyCon, D'Onofrio also addressed the possibility of Kingpin appearing in Spider-Man 4. "I want to see it as much as anybody," he told the crowd. Although his statement is far from a confirmation, D'Onofrio's enthusiasm certainly doesn't hurt his chances of being a part of Spider-Man 4.

With D'Onofrio and fans clamoring for more Kingpin in the MCU, Marvel Studios could at least be certain that a Spider-Man/Kingpin face-off would be well-received. Very little is known about what's in store for Tom Holland's Spider-Man in Spider-Man 4, but with Hawkeye and Daredevil: Born Again placing Kingpin in New York City, it's not impossible that he'd cross paths with the web-slinging hero. Although he's been present in the PS4 game Marvel's Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, showing up in Spider-Man 4 would mark Kingpin's first live-action interaction with Spider-Man.

With fans uncertain about what Spider-Man will tackle next after saving the Multiverse, the possibilities for the next movie are endless. As a classic Spider-Man villain, Kingpin is an obvious choice, especially since Spider-Man: No Way Homefeatured so many of Spidey-Man's iconic villains. Maybe D'Onofrio will finally get the fight he's been waiting for.

Daredevil: Born Again is expected to premiere in 2024 on Disney Plus.
