Today, Xbox unleashed a flurry of new game announcements and updates during the third-party studio Inside Xbox stream. And while things may not have been as massive as some fans might have hoped, there's still plenty of new information to look at, including some new details about Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2.

During the Inside Xbox stream, developer Paradox Interactive gave fans another look at the new entry in the Vampire series. Unfortunately, no release date has been given, though the game was initially intended to release in March of this year. The game has, however, been confirmed for an Xbox Series X release, giving the game striking visuals thanks to the console's top-tier specs.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will allow players to explore Seattle as a blood-sucking creature of the night. The trailer shows off a fair bit of the city, as well as some genuinely unsettling moments. There's not much gameplay, but what is shown looks impressive, including some cool movement abilities and other powers. It's been quite a bit of time since the last entry, so the new game will likely be the introduction to the franchise for many.

At E3 2019, Vampire got an extended gameplay demo, showing some of what the game will have to offer. So far, it looks like it will do well by the older games, with the obvious modern flair to both visuals and gameplay elements. Watching players steadily rise through the ranks of vampiric society is an interesting concept, and not one that is explored all that often by games, despite how well it fits as a mechanic.

Coronavirus has raised some concerns about delays industry-wide, with game delays in 2020 likely becoming more of an issue the longer the pandemic presses on. Vampire has already been delayed once, but there is a possibility that the game could get pushed back further, which would be disappointing to see.

Hopefully, more will be revealed about the game in the coming weeks. Seeing a broad line up of third-party games for the Xbox Series X does instill confidence in what it will have to offer gamers, though, and Microsoft has promised more information in the months to come– including an Xbox Game Studios presentation in June.
